I'm just having a Johnny Depp moment as I just watched the film Willy Wonka

Just wondering is it me, or even when he is playing a weird character there is still something charismatic about him so that you are drawn to him ???

Maybe there is just no hope for me LOL

I finally saw this movie just the other day, and I have to say, Johnny Depp was the best part. He played the part so well! Creepy, but to just the right degree, y'know?

He is so versatile with his acting ability and not afraid to take on the tougher, quirkier roles. Certainly earns more respect from me than other actors like Tom Cruise, who sticks to the same old same old roles. Also, Johnny Depp isn't in your face all the time, which makes him even more respectable. Can't stand spotlight hogs!

I would have to agree with you on this one. He is not in your face all the time and he is a good actor that is why he is so likeable.... oh and the fact that he is hot to look at, a bit like Guy Pearce. He does odd roles and is not in your face!!!

Isn't he just great

I also read in the paper that he has discreetly been putting money into the hospital in the UK that saved his daughter last year and according to one of the parents he turned up at the hospital late one evening dressed as Captain Jack and read stories to the terminally ill children there !!!!!!

I don't mind Johnny Depp. Did like him in 21 Jump Street though, and he does kind of play a bit wierd in Willy Wonka. SOrry, that's just me.

I read in an interview with Roald Dahl family that he never liked the original film but owuld have loved the Johnny Depp take on the character as he put a sinister side that was always meant to be there onto Willy Wonka

I LOVE JOHNNY......

I must say though, I have never watched Willy... The Willy Wonka Willy Wonka Willy Wonka song on the preview gets on my nerves... :)

But I love the pirates, and I love him as Ichabod Crane. My two favorite Johnny movies.. Ok four, but I count the pirates as one.. :)

Oh Dear Helen, yes. I think it is the eyes, there is something about his eyes, LOL. I watched it with Ruth, and I think it is the eyes. There is definitely no hope, you are lost, mind you there could be worse than getting dreamy over Monseur Depp, I have a friend who gets dreamy over Charles Laughton movies. I suppose it takes all sorts. Stay lost with Depp,hehe.
