Born in 1992

my son david was born on the 6th july 1992 He went to live with his grandmother who lied to me to get him then lied to him all his life. He even calls her mum. that breaks my heart he returned to live with me in June last year everything was great. i had my 7 kids back together the way it should be. But in november after trying to get him in school he ran away>i rang the police only to find out that his grandmother helped him. I was devastated. i dont speak to any of my family at all now and I found out from a family friend that it was all a scam he came to live with me so i could buy him everything again that his grandmother wouldnt let him have then when the money was to run low he was to go back. Sad But true his grandmother has brought him up that way that money comes b4 love if there is no money there is no love for them. I spose he will apologise and return to me when he grows up but for now I feel sorry for him as he doesnt know wat it means to love and be loved by a mum. I will love him unconditionly til the day i die but while ever he is with my now ex family how can I ever trust him again.

I have six children and my eldest is Krislyn, I know teenagers do things wronge and they can be disrepectful but she really broke my heart  today. I wasn't feeling very well so I got her to go withdraw some money for me and she took an extra $20 which doesn't sound like much but when you have six children to support by yourself it is. The worst is she keeps lying about it. It really breaks my heart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My first born out of six, I had her on the 25th June at Westmead hospital, anyone else have their baby there and then

Hi, I have a son born in 1992 in Bendigo, victoria.

He moved to Queensland in December last year prior to the rest of us moving up earlier this year.

I'm not sure if it was the time spent on his own with Dad, or the amount of time left to his own devices when Dad didnt take him with him to work, or if it is just his age, but he has changed SOOO much it is worrying.  His attitude, his manner to everyone, is TOTALLY different to the happy little boy we used to know. 

HELP!!!!! IS THIS JUST TEENAGE HORMONES???

His older siblings are 16 and 19 and I dont remember ANYTHING as bad as this1

The things a child does in high school all affect college admission. Review the admissions info on some colleges now so that you can make choices that make that process easier later on, instead of thinking to yourself junior year, if only. . .

For instance, check out www.fastweb.com. Kids are eligible for some scholarships as early as 9th grade or 14 years old.

Make sure they are developing independent study habits. If you aren't around, will they still study effectively?

Start getting them used to addressing authority in a more one to one but still respectful manner - they will have to handle many of their own issues when they start school.

Take a look at activities, colleges like long term commitments, ei: activites they participate in all 4 years of high school, and leadership activities.

Keep track of all activities, tests and awards. It's hard to remember what happened 4 years ago when senior-itis hits.

Just keep things in the back of your head. Then you won't get hit with it all at once. Speaking as someone who has just been through it. . .
