Isabella was born 11th July at 5:55am, 5 hour labour, i had had false labours so i didnt ring the midwife til my contractions were 3 mins apart, lucky i was only 5 cm dilated at that time! she came over to mine and did an exam as i wasnt convinced i was in labour at all! so off we trot to the hospital, arrived at 5 and hadd her 55 mins later. Have to say it was my easiest labour, even at 9lb6oz (4260kg) At my scan three weeks earlier they had estimated her weight at that already! boy am i so glad they were WAY off!
She feeds well, is quite content baby, doesnt cry much, and has a head full of hair! Me, well, im loving it! Ok most of it, my boobs still hurt, and im tired, but other than that, life at this moment is perfect! I am breast feeding, and do enjoy it despite the first minutes of toe curling, but my boobs are so freaken big that BF does not look like it comes natural to me at all! im very self concious and wont feed in front of anyone cause i am aware of how utterly GUMBY i look when i feed her, all contorted and uncomfortable looking, holding my boob so i dont suffocate her lol.I feed her in a rugby ball typ hold, and if i do the common way people feed babies then i have to hold her head with one arm and hold my boob up with the other, which as you might imagine, isnt very practical, anyway, im hoping once my boobs stop hurting and time helps me establish good way to feed that doesnt make me look like a 'retarded feeder" anyhoo, must be off, xxx |

Yes, finally I gave birth to my sixth son, Michael Paul on the 9th of July 2009 at 8:40, after a short labour!!! Will blog soon and include photos but at the moment we have had happiness and sadness affect our family. If anyone heard about the New Norfolk house fire where a married couple only just got out in time, that is my husband's Dad and Stepmum. They are both still in hospital, his Dad with a broken ankle, but his Stepmum is in ICU with second degree burns.
Hoping everyone else's pregnancies are going well - or maybe someone else has given birth too...???
Take care everyone,
Love Tanya xo. |

yup, 9 days! it has been a long 9 months! If i go by the date im 99% sure i am, then im due in 2 days! I have midwife tomorrow, i will ask for a membrane sweep, not sure how she will react, but as of thursday last week bub was 9lb2oz, give or take 500g. so i figure she doesnt really need to be there. I did wanna go naturally, but a membrane sweep only works 50% of the time anyway, guess which way im likely to go!! She feels low, shes right now squirming her head, interesting feeling. Not uncomfortable but not comfortable! Had a curry tonight for tea, 4 rasberry teas, Evening primrose and birth mix. off to bed shortly LOL,.but it would be good if she could come before i ask for a sweep. im so excited to see my bub. I have waited a long time for this moment, and i cant wait! (doesnt it show) anyhoo will post pics when i have some, wish me luck xoxox |

I've done tons of research because although this is my 4th pregnancy there is always a discrepency as to when the 2nd trimester starts. Since they all say something different, I am celebrating as if I am! Today I hit the 12 week mark!
I didn't celebrate as much before... but you, see... its June 28th and I've been in the 1st trimester since January 10th!!!
I had my LMP January 10th (and I guess they start your week counting then!) and made it to 10w2d and then miscarried. I had to have a D&C and a week later we conceived again, so take that week of sorrow out, and I've been under the 12 week mark for a little over 6 months!
So I am really happy that this little one is doing so well! I still have momentary lapses in being "strong" and I let worry come in (like this morning when I was convinced my belly wasn't as HARD) but overall, I am done with worrying if this baby is going to make it and ready to enjoy the first little flutters! Pretty soon! With my 1st two babies, I felt them around 15weeks! I just don't think January will come fast enough... oh and get this... I am due Jan 10th! Yes, being pregnant for a year! So fun! |

I just had my last Holidays with my little family. Next time we will be 4 :-) Only 78 days to go!
Anywhere I looked I saw big baby bellies. We stayed in Italy visiting my parents in law.

feeling rather excited! As those will know im having a big baby! i have to have another scan on monday to make sure shes not geeting too masssively big, Did my birth talk today too. only one more visit in 2 weeks then i go weekly! Im really enjoying pregnancy! All of it, the BH the kicking, the lack of sleep, the only thing that makes me want to go earkly is baby being so big.its starting to scare me. I will love her regardless, but the bigger the baby the bigger the risks. Everyone keeps asking me if im diabetic, im not, ive been tested twice, i just seem to be having a GD sized baby! Anyway, Hopefully i have bub on the 1st July, thats the date i want! Than andrew can come to the labour, with him being the only one around in JUNE that knows what he is doing, if i go even a day bofre things will be tough, inless i go on the weeknd. So, fingers crossed please! Just to explain my fear of a big baby, m y friends siter about 3 months ago had a boy, 10p9oz he got stuck and died... mentioning my concerns to my midwife this afternoon, i find out she was the one who delivered that little boy. She is still so deeply traumatized by it i only had to look at her face. anyway. sad, and scary... Weight gain to date, 5kilos :o) |

Forty six days and hoping that I WILL be the next person to have to stay in hospital.
Nathan got his plaster cast off and so far so good. Just about everything else is sorted out now - I still want to do more cleaning, but even if I didn't need to, I still would be anyway. If I see as much as a smudge on the wall, I start frantically cleaning looking for more!!!
I'm not going to say the word beginning with "h" anymore, where I should be going soon. Every time I mention it, one of my kids ends up or NEARLY ends up there...!!! Last night Ethan ended up with a temperature of 41.7 degrees - I think that's the highest temperature any of my boys have ever had. It all happened so suddenly, but today you wouldn't even know. I slept on the lounge with him last night, so that was a very uncomfortable night's sleep, but there was no way I could let him sleep on his own.
Looking forward to the school holidays where I'll be able to try and sleep in a few days - here's hoping!!!
