As most of you know I've had a pretty bad time with the whole "all day sickness" thing!!! I finally had enough and went to the doc in the hope that he would be able to give me something.... ummm well no he didn't but he did give me somethings to try in the mean time. Now I don't want to jinx myself here lol but it's helped to ease it all just a little.
He suggested eating cheese.... it's the protein in it that helps you to feel fuller for longer. As my nausea is a hungry kinda nausea he figured that this will help. Nuts is the other one. Nibble on nuts throughout the day. Again full of protein. For me it has helped a little. It seems to get me through the worst time which is late afternoon early evening.
Sniff a lemon... lemon helps to neutralise odors. So if there is any particular smell that sets you off try keeping a tissue close with a few drops a lemon oil on it. Also, cut a fresh lemon and put it beside your bed or chair.... well for me I've got the oil burner going with some lemon tea oil in it.... it does smell lovely and seem to get rid of the smell of cooking.
Try grazing instead of eating. Whatever it is you feel like eating graze on it. Take your time while eating it. Gives the body time to adjust to the food. Well, it seems to be working a little bit as well for me. I look like a pig at work lol!!!
Sleep as much as you can.... tiredness can make the nausea worse so rest as much as possible... well lord knows i'm trying that one but when your on your own for the time being, working and looking after a rather active 8 year old, rest can sometimes not be an option lol!!!
Thats all I can remember for the moment... there were others I just need to find the piece of paper they were on lol!!!
