You are in for that behaviour for a while.  My eldest is 5 (sorry 5 1/2 as she constantly reminds me) and she still has the toy mobile, handbag and rings but also has to constantly wear dresses.  But in saying that, I wouldn't swap either of my girls for the world (I might change my mind when I have two teenage daughters).

The balance of power is squarely in our favour in our household.

hahahahaha enjoy the girly moments! Think of all the bonding you two can do over hair and makeup.! I have 4 girls and yes we have a ton of makeup between us, not to mention the hair stuff and the jewellery.
