just a quick note of introduction as i really should be sleeping. I'm a 29 yr old mother to 2 beautiful boys, Sebastian is 3 and Vincent is 1. I live in a small town in south east Queensland Australia and am currently trying to convince by BF that she wants to move here. I have the absolute blessing of being able to stay home with my boys 24/7 and am sparatically on the computer as it depends on how late I stay up. I hope to make this a regular visiting place when I'm online and create new friendships. That's all for now, will be back soon(I hope) VM |

Hi I joined minti about 5 days ago and I have to say i am very impressed. I am still finding my way around this site but are enjoying all of it. My name is jane and I have a 2 year old son who is just delightful. My husband and I have been together for 17 years and married for 2 years. I lost my job about 2 months ago after 13 years with one company and now are finding it hard to be a stay at home mum. Not because of my son, its just no adult conversation. I think minti will be my lifeline.
See you Jane |

hello, I am quite new to the internet altogether let alone just this site so please forgive me if it takes me a while to find my way around. I'm not used to making new friends as i am so close to my sisters that they are my best friends. we do have other friends but we are mostly a very close group so i sometimes find it difficult to converse with new people. i have a two and a half year old son and am six weeks away from having my baby girl so any advice on having a second would be much appreciated.
Looking forward to any replys,
Mel |

Hi. I have just recently joined and am finding my way around. I have two children aged 11 and 8 (boy and girl). My son has Asperger's syndrome and some days (and nights...) are more challenging than others. We get by and things are looking up in that area. Hope to make new friends as we have recently moved 2000km away from our home town and we don't know too many people yet. See ya 'round... |

Hi
I have recently joined and I am just getting the feel of things. I am a mother of three wonderful girls aged 18, 14 and 9.
Just took my 18 year old daughter to University this Sunday. I am so very proud of her. However it was rather scarey leaving her on her own. NO I didn't cry. My 9 year old cried for all of us. Unknown to us she actually thought she was not going to see her sister for another three years(the course duration) Saela, my youngest has been very miserable for the last three weeks at the thought of Natasha leaving.
The atmosphere of the uni when I took my daughter was one of extreme excitment. The halls of residence was full of young people drinking alchol (they were just waiting to go to uni street party) I felt like I was leaving my daughter in a den of lions. In my old motherly eyes ... it seemed their hormones were raving high. Perhaps I have forgotten what Uni was like. It seems just like yesterday, but from Natasha's age you can calculate and see that it was dinosaur years ago.
I know I may sound like a mother who does not want to let go but it was nervy. I will let you know how we get on with this new and challenging experiance. I call it the experiance of letting go!
Word of advice to all of you parents with young children, ENJOY THEM! time really does go very quickly |
