The state of things

by Domestic-warriorComment Published at 05:4305:431 comments1 comments15 Visits15 VisitsReport

There has been alot on TV recently about the state of our fruit and vege produce from supermarkets.  In my experience i have found that nothing lasts from the supermarket and is often rotten.

I saw recently that Strawberries were kept for 3 weeks in storage....how do they store them that long? And no wonder the go moudly after a day or so from purchase.

I buy my fruit and veges every week from an Organic market in Brisbane...Northey Street for those of you that are in the area.  When i do top up from the supermarket i'm usually dissappointed.  I used to have my organics home delivered but once i stopped working found it cheaper to go and get it myself.  Really the prices i pay aren't that much different to the supermarkets, and i know it's better for us as a family.

me too...normally use the bigger supermarkets to top up and always the same result....dissapointment plus...even if it looks good its bound to be inferior in taste
