Well I'll be the first to put my hand up and say yes ive been guilty of buying those reduced gourmet lettuce packs from woolies/coles. How could you not? theyre a $1.00 and anything a dollar these days is a bargain, right? Well after putting some thought into this practice of mine finally come to the understanding those big stores are still ripping us off. At full price $3.99 for a 150 grams of sealed lettuce works out to be around $26.00 (what a rip off!) and even at $1.00 price it works out to about $7.00 per kilo. SEVEN BUCKS a kilo and we think were getting a bargain lol.....might be quick and easy but so is cutting up lettuce!! |
