Re: Obese Children - Low Life Expectancy
One of my twins best friends is obese. He is a year younger than J and L -he is 9. He is nearly as wide as he is tall.
Last summer we took him with us on days out and Darren and I felt so sorry for him because he just can't do what our kids do. Even walking was a real effort for him and he had pains in his hips and legs.
He won't go swimming or in summer when our kids have paddling pools out, he won't go in. His weight effects his life on a day to day basis and as he gets older he just gets bigger.
His mum is a stick. She constantly goes on about being 'fat' when there isn't an ounce on her.
He practically lives on Mc Donalds and never eats veg or fruit.
What amazes me is that when Darrens' girls were dumped here (even tho they're back with mum). within 2 weeks at school the nurse contacted me about one of them being extremely underweight. How come they're not on my friends case about her boy???
I don't know if she wants to keep him fat because she actually 'babytalks' to him. If he is in my house she will text and say can you send my baby boy home?? He's 9 for goodness sake!!
I think there is no excuse for kids to live on rubbish food.
How many sweets can you buy for £1?
You can buy 6 apples for the same price.
