Jesus himself said that christians should help bear each other's burdens, and we've all been in a place where the knowledge that someone, somewhere is praying for us is a source of comfort whether we believe in God or not. With that in mind I have decided to start this group for those seeking prayer, or wanting to pray for others. This is how it's going to be run:
- All posts must conform with the Minti TOS and Code of Honour.
- Those that request to join are assumed to be willing to pray for others as well as their own requests.
- Any one - religious or not - can request prayer without joining the group, just MintiMail me and I will let the other praying Mum's know. You can even request to remain anonymous.
- No one will be judged on their religion or beliefs if they should ask for prayer - our aim is only to provide support regardless of your usual stance.
- Anyone who is found to disciminate, flame or harrass another person for any reason will be immediately kicked out.
- Anyone found to put down or gossip or insult another member will be immediately kicked out
- If information about a member who has requested prayer is leaked outside of the group, without the permission of the member concerned, then the member responsible will be ejected from the group.
These rules are not designed to be a power trip for the administrator, but rather I am serious about running a fully confidential group with trusted members praying for each other and other Minti members in the knowledge that the information that they disclose will remain confidential.
I don't care if I end up being the only member of the group, I'm here to let you all know there is a place here where you can request prayer and know it will be done in total confidence and safety.
I hope you all come to view this place as a safe refuge from some of the storms of life, and be encouraged while you encourage others. |
