keep going ...
keep going if you and your baby want to. do whatever feels right for you. the world health organisation recommends breastfeeding up to 2 years now. there's nothing wrong with it .... you are lucky to have such a keen breastfeeder. mine feeds, but has to watch tv! very annoying.

Good on you!

I am currently feeding my nearly 21 mth old son and will until he is 3 if he wants. I fed my first until 23mths. I started getting the "isn't he too big for that" comments from about 9 mths. I agree with Kseers ignore those you can and give the information to those who challange you. The ABA now also recommends until 2yrs and beyond like WHO does and they have plenty of info on there website about how good extended breastfeeding is.

Good on you and well done for feeding him for over 1 yr.

Do what's right for you!

If you're happy to continue than do. You have to do what's best for you and your son.

Try not to worry what other people think.

Well done!
Well done for feeding him so long.

The World Health Organisation recommends breastfeeding for two years and beyond.  In our 'enlightened' culture many people frown on this.

I fed my first child until he self weaned at 21 months.  I aim to do the same with my daughter.  However after the first twelve months I fed him at home - it was largely morning and evening and only told people I was still feeding if they asked.  Not that I was embarassed but am aware that for many people it is an issue, so I left it until they made an issue of it.

So my advice is keep going as long as you feel comfortable.  Ignore what other people say and if they challenge you tell them that it is medically recommended (by the WHO).  Most people who challenge it are concerned as they care about you and your child.  Thank them for their concern and then explain you are doing what you think is best.
