With the sudden cold snaps around the country in Australia - how do you all keep warm breastfeeding in winter? Any tips? Warms Pjs are a must!

Lots and lots of lightweight blankets!  I use light weight ones so i can peel off the layers if I get to hot.

I remember getting chilled twice doing this during our winter - got the shivers, not nice!

My solution was to sleep in my biggest jumper and pull it up for feeds. It was warm enough to sleep with my top half out of the duvet most nights. So glad we're into (albeit cool) summer in UK now!

A Uk department store, Marks and Spencer, sell thin, stretchy vests which are not designed for breast feeding but work brilliantly for the purpose - you can pull the cup down and it also helps ping your bra back in to place (covered but not done up) when you take baby away. I bought mine 18 months ago and can still wear them as normal vests in the winter because that's what they are. Excellent value and as they are not breast-feeding specific, they are cheaper and so I could get a variety of colours for the same price as one "proper" breast feeding top.

I used to wear button up shirts with big warm jackets.  Undo the top few buttons, slip baby on, wrap the jacket over bub and keep you both warm.  This worked while out shopping.  Although we live in North Qld and get a whole 3 weeks of winter so it's not so bad here.  And our temps are 3 at the lowest, that's the killer days since we are acclimatised to 40+ heat.  Luckily it doesn't last long for us hey.

The breastfeeding singlets are fantastic! I wear them all the time. Keeps your back and tummy warm while you feed!

Yes it seems you can't beat those flannelette Pj's and a comfy rug. I know what you mean about staying in bed at night to feed! At least it is a nice excuse to do so and snuggle with your baby.  B/f tops as kseers said are also great for keeping the back nice and warm. I also found a nice warm heater near my feeding chair worked a treat too and don't forget the comfy slippers!

mmm - for feeding at night i feed in bed, nice and snuggly warm.  But the main problem I find for feeding in winter is that when you lift your shirt your back gets cold.  I have fixed this with some special b/feeding singlets.  They stay tucked in and keep my back warm and I can undo them to feed at the front - brilliant!

a warm pair of flannelette jammies, and a thick fuzzy dressing gown should do the trick, even if you are dressed (in day clothes) at home, chuck the gown over the top to keep you warm and baby cozy :) you can also get polar fleece blankets, cover your designated feeding chair with it, and one you have sat down, wrap it around you and bubs..
hope this helps

I feed my baby in his room on a comfy feeding chair and I have my glamorous flanny pjs on LOL and on the pillow that he lies is a flannelette pillow case to keep him warm and my legs.  Also on the chair I have a bunny rug which is a larger size and I pop that over him and I half snuggle under it as well and it feels really nice and cosy one of those aww moments

Stay in Bed.
No seriously this is what I did in Orange NSW when I had my first. It was snowing not far from where we lived and sooooo cold. I stayed in bed as much as possible and when I couldn't I made sure I had a couple of layers on underneath that could be pulled down rather then up so my tummy didn't get cold or I wrapped a blanket around us both so we didn't get cold.
I'm in FNQ now and we are experiencing some cold weather which is very unusual. Snuggled on the couch with a blanket is great.
