| childrens artwork
so many parents dont know what to do with their childrens crafts and paintings. the child brings it home with pride and joy
well here in this group that is exactly what we do you can show and exhibit your childs piece of art. anything from one of the first words they wrote down to that "famikly portrait" they so love to do.
oh and any parents can join in. grandparents too!
ive still kept some of my boys works in the filing cabinet .
this group is restricted so that the general public cannot view. this is to protect any pics taken with our children in it

Sophie brought back three lovely pics from the childminders today, and I thought I would post them here, as I am so proud of the way her faces, numbers and letters are coming along.

Above, "numbers" - mostly 10 here, though she can do 20, and is getting there with 3 and 7.
Below, a Divali colouring, with added numbers and letters - I can see 3, N, 2, 1 and maybe j.

Above is SOphie's picture of the family. Hey, I'm in the middle and the biggest. What's she saying?! And how come there are two of her? Better not over-analyse this, I might get paranoid LOL!
Below is a painting done by Emma at school, as a school fundraiser. Most of the kids came out clutching their framed masterpieces today, so most parents must have succumbed to buying a copy. How can you say no, eh? A single, unemployed mum was telling me her kids school involvement has cost her £60 this week, with two of these to buy plus school photos.

For Emma's birthday party she & some friends (and little sister) painted plates, which were then glazed and fired.
Below are the plates at the end of painting:

And below are the glazed & fired plates which I FINALLY collected last Friday (the shop owner has been ill and I could not get hold of her and so I worried that in the Recession maybe she was going out of business).
Emma's plate is the red tractor and Sophie's is the "green" plate which the shop owner rescued by gettin gher to paint black handprints on it - the green was the result f about 4 different layers she gleefully painted on top of each other!

If you have an arty child then the above is what a group of 6 - 7 year olds can produce in one VERY quiet hour - a great party IMO!

At the end of Year 1 Emma brought some artwork home, and here is a selection of it:

Above - last year's Bonfire Night (fireworks). Below - camping?

Below - a playground I think - there seem to be a lot of roundabouts! I think they were doing maps, hence the view from above.

Above and below - two versions of a night scene. These are my favourites!

Here are two "pictures" from Sophie in the last week.

On the right is her colouring in, which is getting quite careful (though she lost interest rather early on this occasion). On the left is her few favourite - "writing". Suddenly one morning on holiday she stopped squiggling and drawing faces and started "writing" - some recognisable, some not. Here we have recognisable "i x m" but she can do others ok too, plus she interprets the other squiggles liberally too! She also loves to write "!" - shouting marks as we call them, and spots them everywhere on warning signs and in books - and "j", plus some numbers. Yesterday she wrote "10" on the patio in chalk, and she can just about do 2 and 7. Anyway, I'm a happy mummy! I remember Emma being able to write "EMM3" on her 3rd birthday and I doubt Sophie will get there in the next 4 weeks but she may prove me wrong.

any takers. this is also here for children to read or be read the great comments of their work.
so if you havent already done so show your children (or if they are too young to read ) read out to them all the lovely things people say about their artwork
this helps build childrens self esteem too!

Harrison drew this picture. I am so impressed. Harrison is 40 months old. Not even 3 1/2! Anyway, enough gushing...the proof is in the pudding! And Lilly is the dog.

This is a picture she drew this morning...(A. is 4 1/2 yrs old)...I am impressed with the detail of this picture, it is a cat, a bird and herself walking on the beach...Her name at the top she said is printed with Royal Lettering...After her name is our mini-van and....there is so much more to this picture that she did not explain to me yet...I will let you interpret for yourselves what is left...LOL!
A. has allowed me to share this drawing here...LOL! I think she is getting an artiste-temperament...*grins*...

Arianna drew on our walls last summer (she was 3) with a permanent black marker, in our living room...she drew on all 4 walls when her dad was getting her lunch ready for her and mommy was at work...LOL! No, we didn't get mad we just praised her on such good drawings and then explained that she was to draw only on paper unless otherwise stated LOL! We still have no idea where she got the marker from...we have only fine tip ones and she used a regular tipped sharpie...
The picture is a self portrait and a fish...LOL!
