HI everyone!
I am new to this group but want to put a shout our to all you Perth mums out there :)
I have just started in photography and am specialising in portraits. I am always looking for families/couples/kids to take photographic portraits of. As I am just starting out, my rates are very good value, and you get some amazing professional looking portraits! I am doing this on weekends to supplement my income as we save for our first cycle or two of IVF...
Basically, each session is $100 for up to 4 people ($10 each person extra) and you get a 60-90 minute photo session with me, and you get 50-80 different pictures (all edited, retouched and in blak and white also, with some sepia/special effects) burnt to a DVD for you to take home and keep. You are free to repoduce, print, enlarge and share these photos freely, but to recognise it as my work in exchange.
I have optional extras also, and for more information or to book a session, feel free to message me through Minti, or email me at karynlakephotography@iinet.net.au
IF you would like to see some samples of my work, please visit http://picasaweb.google.com/karynlakephotography
I hope you consider me for your family portraits in the future.
Thanks a bunch!
Karyn :) |

Hey everyone.
I have an online business offering unique photo gifts and products and I'm looking for a business partner to take an active role in its growth.
The opportunity will require a passion for online retail in the 'memories' market - a growing market in the online space - see similar services such as snapfish.com.au, www.bigwphotos.com.au
Perfect for an entrepreneurial mum, it would be ideal if you reside in Australia. An equal interest (50/50) in the business is being offered due to a change in personal circumstance. Low capital required.

Hi, I am going through a tough time with my husband suffering depression and doing a lot of stupid things in our relationship. I have tried to raise my boys 11 & 15 with good values inspite of the bad behaviour that my husband brings into their lives. But have not always succeeded. Now my husband and I are apart while he is trying to get better. I need advice as to how to help my youngest son. He is exhibiting similar bad behaviours of my husband. He has no respect for rules such as no playing his DS at night after 6.. takes an hour to eat breakfast, longer to do his simple chores like feeding the dog and folding clothes... he steals money and other things. Punishment such as taking things away doesn't work as he just goes into a "I don't care" attitude. I have tried every thing such as smacking, talking, role play, rewards instead of punishment. I hate it all as I feel extremely desparate.. Do I keep up the tough love or do I drop the values I want to teach him. HELP ME PLEASE |

I wanted to share some advice that was given to me about how get your childs attention when you are asking them to do something...
As parents you expect that when you talk your child will listen, even if it is across a room, or as they ar in the middle of something. When they are doing something you don't want them to do you simply yell from where ever you are.
Well My daughter Paige is 22 months old I began this technique when she was about 12 months old, when she started walking. One of my friends used this technique so I saw that she was having luck with it so I have used it ever since.
I began kneeling infront of her & making eye contact then speaking to her in the tone that was necessary for the situation.
If I was asking her to carry out a tast I used a friendly voice, If i asked her to stop what she was doing I used a stern tone in my voice.
In the past few months I have begun giving her an explanation in each situation because I noticed that she responded better after I told her why I wanted her to do or stop something.
So If anyone is having trouble getting their childs attention I have found that this works well. I have got to the point now where I don't need to get right in her face all the time I just ask for her attention before I give the instruction.

Just like a few of you, i am new to minti. I was recommended to this site from a old school friend. She said that this site helped her through a lot of tough times. I separated about 18 months ago from my husband of nearly 11 years. I have three children and find it very hard doing it all alone. I do have a good support network around me (mainly my wonderful mum) but would love to hear from other people that have been through separation/divorce and have found happiness afterwards. I do live in a small rural town in SA, so getting out and meeting other parents is a little hard. I just want to be the best mum to my kids and give them the best in life but sometimes everything gets so overwhelming. Love to know that i am not going crazy!!! |

Please check it out and/or mention it to any parents or families you think might find quality assured (ie: expert written and reviewed) information about ASD, therapies and supports for young kids in Australia. In case you aren't familiar with the Raising Children Network site (http://raisingchildren.net.au) it's non-profit/non-commercial (govt funded) - and this post is a genuine attempt to make as many people as possible aware of this new content area. Thanks.

Hi Everyone,
My husband & I had a lousy xmas as he was so ill. He was finally admitted to hospital just before New Years Eve & was there for 11 days. Less than 2 days later I was admitted to hospital with what thought were broken ribs (again) plus hurt my right knee. After 9 days in hospital I was allowed home but on the way out had to have another x-ray. Our Dr. rang next day to tell me that 'd I'd broken 3 ribs on my left side.
After that my hubby passed out & literally dropped backwards from the deck staircase to the bottom. His head was on the concrete path with the rest of his body laying straight up the staircase. I "ran" (no couldn't with 3 broken ribs & my right knee) to find him just conscious. Rang 000 & then hubby wasn't conscious so I rang them again. They finally arrived thought he had neck & spinal injuries. I couldn't stop shaking. Cutting a long story short after all his scans etc., he hadn't broken a single bone.
We've been up in Perth for me to see my Breast Surgeon plus for me to have a Nuclear Medicine Isotope Scan & I got the results today. instead of breaking 3 ribs............................... it's 5 now on my left side. Since finishing my radiotheraphy 20 months ago for breast cancer, I have now broken 9 ribs in total.
Sorry I haven't been on the Minti site for a few weeks but think that you can all understand a little. My husband keeps fainting a few times a week, he can hardly eat nor can he open his bowels. Over xmas it was 10 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! before he could go even taking all the medications scans, blood tests, C.T., ultrasound scans, there still couldn't find anything wrong with him. Now he just takes a few steps walks soooooooooooooooooooo slowly.
I'm just at my wits end as he so grumpy etc., etc., I just don't know what to do & with me in so much pain I'm shouting silently to myself "Please, please help me, give me some guidence".
Must go for now. We're staying at Crawford Lodge in Perth WA for rural country cancer patients, it's like a 10* hotel and is covered under the P.A.T.S., so the accommodation is paid for.
Love to all my Minti friends & please forgive me for not joining in this wonderful site recently.
Love hugs,
Krys x0x |

ProductReview.com.au
Australia’s Largest Consumer Reviews Site
This site has tons of everyday stuff to review. Food, cars, movies, banks, shops, music etc etc etc.
Each review gives you 5 or 10 points. If one sets a goal to do a certain number of reviews each day you can ultimately earn lots of points which you can redeem for gift cards, usb’s, mp3’s and even digital cameras.
You can also refer ppl to join and earn 20 points plus 1 or 2 points for every review they do.
Also check out this site
Your voice.
Excellent paying rate even though surveys are not very regular. Yor earn majority points by referring friends. Each referral gives you 100 points which is $10. Maximum 20 referrals though
https://www.yourvoice.com.au/au/page.asp?e_page=74567
quick money is what i call this site
AND TAN TANA THE BEST OF ALL THE SITES.
https://secure.moneybackco.com/?refid=2568
I came across this site several times but didnt really belive it as it sounds to good to be true. Yesterady i gave it a shot and oh my god.
I day and i get $21. Not bad eh.
You earn cash literally buy signing up to free offers or requesting quotes from comanies or by entering free competions. Aslo earn money by signing up to free paid survey sites. eg
Bigpond is offering 2 weeks free movie trial. You do need your credit card for this but they wont charge you until after 2 weeks. All you have to do is sign up order 3 movies. Return them and cancel your membership. What you get is $15. Unbelivable. $15 for nothing. Theres lots more like that available. My favourite site. One that i check every single day. Kind of slow in accumulating money but still its not hard work.
Ta da pureprofile. So far i have recieved $25 from them and already on my way for another. Overview you have to click on ads which they show you and earn 0.10. Or do surveys ranging from 0.20 to 4.00. At times you may get 5 or 6 ads or surveys to do and them a dry for maybe few days. But very easy.
http://account.pureprofile.com/Login/?referrer=3142109
For each referral that you refer once they earn $5 you get $1 upto $25 they earn. So one referal can potentially get you $5.
