Q. When is it easy to paint the outside of your house? A. When you aren't doing it yourself!

For the last two weeks we have been having the whole of the outside of our house painted and it's looking just GREAT!  Our painter (who've we've had for over 10 years, on and off) is just dynamic, he does SUCH a good job.  He'll still be painting this week, plus for a couple of days into next week.  Every day, after he's finished and gone home I just CAN'T WAIT to go outside and inspect what he's done!  It's so exciting! Then when my hubby comes home we both go and check the work out.  It's been my favourite part of the day.  Our house is double brick, with two sleepouts; it's an older style house, with high ceilings - was built around 1920.  I find older houses so charming however a 'down side' is that they require regular maintenance, i.e. painting and repair.  The colours we're having the house painted are a dark olive green shade, with cream; our house, being double-brick has brick-coloured areas, e.g. piping, too.  It may sound unusual as I write this, however it looks great.  Every few years we have the interior of our house repainted, too.  Bye for now, Carolyn
