| A chat with Marg and Janice

"A chat with us " Marg and Janice
On joining Minti, we were welcomed with such warmth, genuine friendliness, support, encouragement & advice.
If we reached out for help, we knew that it was always there - and always someone there to listen and give us guidance.
We also know that life can be tough at times, when we need to whinge, vent, release anger & talk about issues that concern us.
This group will be a forum for all of those things and an opportunity for new members to communicate with people who care.
We have a simple philosophy...Honesty,Togetherness and Participation.
Marg and Janice.

You know how some things stay clear in your memory??? That day in 2008 will always be that way for me. But instead of meeting in the evening it turned into the night, then the early morning! This tall, lanky guy was a wee bit grumpy as he unfolded his large frame out of the car, complained about the rail service and hauled a suitcase the size of a mountain up the stairs and shortly went to bed! I knew my Janice, my other half but her Hubby was a not known, a guy along cause my Janice was vouching for him! LOL!! I so hope Janice reads this to Steve, Heeeheeheee!
Happy Birthday Steve! It is May the 16th here and the anniversary is late , late tonight of when we meet part of our family for the first time! Love and best wishes for this coming year, we hope it is a great one! |

To all the Mom's on here.....good job! It takes a while I have found out, but when your kiddies are grown, you can really feel like maybe you did a good job. So I am speeding the process for you young Mom's! Have a best ever Mother's Day and just enjoy the day as it is meant to honour you..and you certainly deserve that! |

Wow! May already! Time once again to do my May pole dance! May pole I said...for those of you ready to launch off with all the pole dancing cracks! Hahhahahaaa beat Ya to it!
I have been busy cleaning. Well that would be good if I actually was cleaning my place which always seems to need it.....but no...we have been traveling into Toronto to clean for my son. With a new son (my Grandlove if I have not mentioned that....which I know I have!), a new home, new job , he has been swamped. Because of the move being quick and the baby coming and all, the old place needed cleaning (huge understatement) so we have gone in with bleach and scrubbies and spent three days now cleaning. The place sparkles from one end to an other! I pronounce it clean now...so hoooray... we are done! Geeesssss I will miss the traffic in and the long trips home crawling in the traffic, bumper to bumper. NOT!
We are facing spring with every thing green, the flowers coming on like crazy and the wildlife returning. Last night we had three huge racoons dining on Avro's supper. Avro did not take kindly to sharing. The squirrels were into what the racoons left and the cardinals were busy picking up what the squirrels and racoons dropped.
You know how sometimes the mind drifts to when the kiddies will be old enough to not make messes? Our son visited and it came to mind that he was helping himself to a big huge jar of cashews Dad has. All fine and good, we like sharing! But he did not secure the lid, darn kiddies! So when it got knocked over the mess was not greeted by me with any kind of desire of effort to clean it up...I am so tired from our cleaning sons place! I still had the vacuum handy so I thought ..why not? Instead of crawling for miles I vacuumed them up. And out they went and where appreciated by the squirrels, ahhhh all is well that ends well! |

Hello Janice, so lovely to see you about! |
| |

Awwwwwwwwwwww! I feel very humbled, thank you Ms. T for the message to all. In true drama we had to run, literally! Grab the dog, chuck a few things in and go. Babe was over due from the 17th but the 21 st is a great date!!!! He turns out to be the only April entry we have in our bulging b-day calender. Things did not go well and she was induced but the happy ending of it all was Ryan! A wee little tiny blonde dude that no doubt will be as robust as the other two I took care of today. Grandloves are SO great but I need to be younger.
So Sean has never been without Mommy....great! We started Friday, got off duty late tonight and in usual fashion it was crazy! The little guy woke up mid night wanting Mommy so that was a long night. Second night went better when he understood that Grandma was there...regardless of him wanting Mom. I would have to do. Arrgggg! How do you convince kiddies that are use to certain routines that this new one is better??? Haahahaa you don't! You just wear them out! LOL!!!! Least we had fun, bath times and all and Sean knowing when he was to have his bath and rather impressive bargaining for more books to be read! He is a sweety really but I will not allow certain things...hence a battle with me basically winning...but barely! I see he is use to controlling things at home and that never goes over big at all. And today with Sean and Lucas...oh the control of the little one was being tried by the older one. Arrggg! Heavens! But my Lucas was unfazed. In the midst of it all he won over Sean. And finally playmates they were...then it got super crazy! Lord, I so loved it all. But the logistics of a newly four and a two year old playing together is massive craziness,.....ahhhh just like home! LOL!
So hurry up dear little Ryan, there is craziness to join in with!
Thank you dear Ladies, your vibes did so much and I humbly thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Mrs R asked me to let everyone know that she is asking for the bestest of vibes and I am asking prayers for her daugther in law and her unborn baby....they only I know is that things are not good at the moment.
I am asking that everyone send their best to them and....vibes, prayers and whatever else can be mustered....!
I am sure Mrs R will give an update when she can...
Thanks everyone, it will be appreciated! |

And then think of how lucky we were when Eli was born!
Parts of Australia are in a whooping cough epidemic. The illness is especially dangerous to babies and young children, as one American mum found out when it killed her 27-day-old daughter. Read her touching story to learn more.
