A chat with Marg and Janice

I am so sorry at the loss of a policeman in the floods in Britain.  I do hope everyone is safe.  And the fires are threatening a lot of people in Australia!!  Again, I wish safety for everyone.  Seems that the powers that be are challenging people around the globe and all we can do is care about them and hope for the best.

 I promise I will get around to visit with you all,  as soon as I can. I wanted to thank-you all from the bottom of my heart for  all your words of encouragement, friendship & love.  I am so very thankful that each and every one of you are a part of my life. I see boredmum has gone all Christmassy!!!!!  Look at that great avatar!   Who else has done anything for Christmas?   I think Pauline has started baking!   Yummmm,  wonder what cookies we could get away with pinching??   Cookies are good frozen,  you can eat them that way I have found out!   LOL!   I need to do some Christmas baking but my wee freezer is full!   With what,  I have no idea!  It is a mistake to downsize your freezer .  And why is what you need always on the bottom?   I have been heard to utter things I should not while emptying the stupid freezer to find something.   Also... I clearly remember saying I will know what this is and later staring at a frozen blob wondering what on earth it is ???  Should I thaw it for supper or is it something from school that the kiddies left here?  Now that could be dangerous!  I still have a tier of a wedding cake... when will they pick that up?  And frozen fish, from a lab.... errrrr ... O.K. just scary!   My dear Great Aunt use to freeze dead mice for the Audubon Society, now her freezer was always interesting!!!   Well freezers can be views into the past, or the future!!   I need to get mine holding stuff for Christmas and for our dear Janice... get ready... it is about five weeks until Christmas!  For an accurate count we need Janice back!

This morning I wedged my tired eyes opened to start to  get at the day and it is November the 15th, half way through the month of November, does November have an ides of November, and it is foggy!  There is ides of March, but that was the Romans thinking it was powerful...  Idus Martias!!!!  Guess Ceasar changed that...sort of!  Oooohhh, the fog!  Crazy, crazy!  November is into the winter type weather and to wake to the whole place under really heavy fog is so odd!  We have had two weeks of the most lovely weather,  balmy and so enjoyable. It has been up in the high teens and I know some people think that is not balmy!  But it is, quite lovely!  We have enjoyed the sun and the flowers are still blooming which goes down in my books as a very odd November. 

Our dear Nature Buddy Janice is gathering her strength and I do hope behaving!  I know she is taking it easy cause she knows we want her to be all well when she comes back!   And we are tough and would give her trouble,... all sorts of trouble if she comes back too early!

We went past a special place, very special now as Janice and I went there, Lynn Shore.  The birds are flocking there for their trips south.  Swans, merganzers, ducks, cranes, just all types of water fowl.  They will love the thick , heavy, grey blanket of fog.  They will fish and relax and fatten for their journeys.  Well Sunday is starting so I guess I should too!  I hope everyone had a beautiful weekend.

 I am just getting up to see what is happening, it's half a day after most of you!  I hope every one is feeling well.  I have noticed when out here that there are lots of people sneezing and coughing.  It is tough to feel ill and tougher when your kiddies feel ill.  So hoping everyone is feeling great,  enjoying the day or night and doing good!   And hope Janice is getting ready, up to strength to return.  I MISS JANICE!!!

Janice would be proud and I am in shock!  I bought my first Christmas gift!!!!!  WOW!  Usually this happens the week of.  I don't get in the "mood" until then.  I got one polo shirt for sil.  Well, it is a start!  I want to buy toys for the Grandkiddies  : ) !!!  So, five kiddies, their "others", relatives and a few others... hummmmm . Like i said, it's a wee, wee start!

Where is that Janice with her Christmas count down???  Get better Sweety, we need you to motivate us!  How is everyone doing with their Christmas lists???

Here's a weather report from Canada!  We got our first snow last night.  Not much, just a white fuzzy covering on everything.  I know it will go as the sun rises and hits it but it looks so pretty!   I hear parts of Australia are getting tons of rain!  Hope every one is looking forward to their weekend!

Hi! In Janice's absence, I agreed to look after the Kidz Photo Contest. This weeks theme is "Painted Faces" eg. facepainting.
