Hiya, I just bought a kitchen aid baking dish and because i have little cupboard space I put it in the oven. Thinking to myself that i'm the only one who uses the oven, so it won't get wrecked because the plastic is still on.
Until today when hubby decided to help with lunch while I was ironing. So he turns the oven on to heat up some pies without me knowing, so I would finish the job ( so he didn't have to do it, because i will be away this week).
I finish the ironing then walk into the kitchen and smell the melting plastic. I flipped, my $50 baking dish now has hard melted plastic all over it. We tried our best to pull the plastic off while still warm, however, there is still clear hardened plastic around the edges and over the handles.
Does anyone know the best way to get it off without scratching off the enamel? Any help, or ideas will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers Tracey xx
