Hi Guys! I am a Puerto Rican living in Sydney Australia. I miss the states hence why I joined your group, any taste of all things American is a good one! I am born in New York, and worked in Washington DC, Virginia, Miami and LA before marrying an Aussie and relocating. I now have dual passports and daydream about moving stateside. Australia is a great country. After my recent visit to Miami in August, I noted that Australia is like America without the fear factor (circa 1950s). Things are still pretty relaxed down here and the word terrorist isn't used in every other sentence, which is a good thing. As a 9/11 survivor (I lost my sister in the 2nd Tower), I know how scary the planet is and how real the threat is, but we are a bit removed, thank God.
I was fortunate to grow up in Virginia on the Chesapeake Bay and the Sydney coastline is not dissimilar, except the water is bloody cold. I miss the crabcakes, softshell crab sandwiches, and A1 Steaksauce. I have a six month old son who is absolutely my reason and purpose for living. (check out my images that are linked to my profile.)
