My name is Candice and I'm a 20 year old first time mom to a beautiful boy named Brayden. Hes 11 1/2 months old now and growing like a weed. I live in Nova Scotia Canada and am still currently on maternity leave and getting ready to go back to school in September to take a paralegal course. Justin, (My boyfriend and Brayden's father) works full time, but is wonderful at giving me a hand, whenever needed which is a blessing when he works all day but is muchly appreciated.

I'm still fairly new to this parenting thing, but i guess you learn a little bit more everyday, and the advice from others really does help. Hopefully some tricks that I've picked up along the way will help some of you out.

Wow, I cant believe that Brayden is almost a year old! I'm starting to make all the preprations for his 1st birthday party which is in a few weeks and it blows my mind. It seems like it was just the other day that I was taking home this tiny little bundle in my arms from the hospital, and now hes almost a year! It makes me realize that they're not small for long, and they grow fast. I will admit that for the first few months I wanted him to grow up, start doing different things, now I wish that I had slowed down for a few minutes and took things as they came. I didnt realize how fast time went by. If I have any more children I plan to take it as slowly as I can.
