Well we went away and survived, don't know if I would do it again though....
I took so much stuff with me and hardly used any of it. Well clothing wise that is. The weather was really hot but not as hot as it was back home. I took bubs to the beach once and cause the tide was out there was a little bit of water that was quite warm, he loved to have a splash in it... but the sand... I hate sand. It gets everywhere and in everything.
My sister had her kids with her a 4yr old and a 17mth old. Don't get me wrong I love her kids but life revolves around them dosen't it? I don't get along with my sister all that well so.. She had to do what she had to do with the kids and we just joined in.
First day we got there about lunch time. 2 hour trip and bubs sleept all the way. We then went to the beach about 5 min walk from the house, later we went for a walk to the corner shop a 40 min round trip.
Next day my sister and kids went to a differnt beach and I met up with them later I opted out of going to the beach just thought bubs was too little for it. The water would have been cold and he would have got sand everywhere and even eaten it. So we met up with them and had icecream and coffee. And did a bit of window shopping. Bubs got so over tired that he slept in the car (15min) and then 1 1/2 hours back home.
Today packed up early and left by 9.30 my sister got on her high horse saying she was leaving my 9etc.. so then left us too it. Don't get me wrong I had heaps of fun and it was nice to get away, and my sister and I were sivel to each other.
Going away like that you do realise that you miss that extra pair of hands (help) that you get at home. Bath time I had to be super organised. My sister couldn't help as she was getting her kids ready for bed at the same time.
Well, I am now looking forward to seeing my partner. I sure did miss him. Can't wait till he gets home from work probably about 5ish tonight. Cooking a roast chicken for dinner. Yummy.
Well better unpack Take care
