Best time last night...... PRISCILLA

Comment Published at 18:4318:4317 comments17 comments60 Visits60 VisitsReport

I HEAR BY CHRISTIAN THIS BUGET BARBIE CAMPER.. PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT!!

Last night a girlfriend and I went to see the stage show of Priscilla Queen of the Desert.  It was fantastic, very outragous and hilarious.  The costumes were amazing, the songs toe-tapping dancing kind.  The guy that played Felicia (Guy Pearce's part in the movie) was outstanding and I must admit very good looking with a great body that he did show off. It was money well spent we had fairly good seats, about 10 rows from the front.

We frocked up and went in and had a daiquiri.  We were surprized with the amount of people that just rocked up in there tracky dacks or jeans.  I was always brought up that when you went to the theatre you dressed up and it was a luxury to be going..

Afterwards we went out for dinner to a very nice resturant, Vietamese.

The next theatre or stage show that we would like to see is Billy Elliot...

Envy is seeping out of every pore. I also love to frock up and make the most of a theatre trip it just gives one the chance to get out of Mummy mode. I even dressed up a bit for the Panto last year, and was happy to see lots of other Mums had done the same. I hope you get to Billy Elliot it is fantastic, or at least I thought it was, my other half kept falling asleep.lol

I'm glad you like Billy Elliot, I can't wait for it to come to Melbourne.. I'm like a litlle kid in a lolly shop with shows  LOL

Aida is an opera, as well as a musical. The musical was created by Tim Rice and Elton John.

The story is about an Ehtiopian Princess who is captured by the Egyptians as a slave, and a military commander falls in love with her but to stay loyal to the Pharaoh falling in love with her. The Pharaoh's daughter fancies the military commander, but he doesn't feel the same way.

Well, there you go!  Sounds interesting, any thing by Tim Rice and Elton John should be good.
