To keep there mouths shut!! ARGHHHH!!!!

Tdoay I was out and about. I was in Target looking at kids clothes, when two middle aged or a bit older ladies came up to me and started ohing and ahing about my baby. I was asked how old he was, 6mth I said, and one said to him ooohhhh I bet your hungry you look undeweight. I ignored the comment while the other one continued talking to me and showing me a photo of her grandson.

Now the comment really irritated me but hey, I will get over it as I know myself that he eats, drinks, and is growing and putting on weight. He may not eat as much as some babies ( I know this cause of my mothers group) but that dosn't matter.

I just wonder when will people learn to keep there bloody mouths shut?????

Ignore them Angie!! Your little man is gorgeous! He looks perfect in every way. Anyone who thinks otherwise has S#*T for brains!!

Dont worry about the other babies eating more either. Every baby is different!

yes cass your right thanks for the reminder every baby is different. I now will not care one hoot what other think, it is what I think and my partner thinks that matters.

Basically F*#K them.

I know it is hard to ignore other peoples comments, even when you really want to, some things just dig in and burrow and fester! LOL!. Sorry for the visual there. but it is easy to say and not easy to do.

Your boy is beyond adorable. They obviously are senile and that is all there is too it! Dont judge on other babies, its an easy trap to fall into with mothers group, but when you compare, eveyone will come out 'wrong' at some stage.

Just give him a hug and enjoy the time till he takes off!!

Thank you.. eeeewwww and what a visual that is LOL. I try had not to judge but I guess we all do it at some stage. I know he is growing and putting on weight that is all there is too it.

He does not look underweight. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. To me, he looks healthy and alert. Bet he doesn't stay a baby for much longer though! lol.

don't worry about what other people say. It just shows they are ignorant.

Thanks Arna, couple of months ago I was stressing as he wasn't eating what the other babies in mothers group were eating so I asked the health nurse and she basically told me to stop judging against everyone else. So I do that, he just eats less but more often.

All ours have been different, and the youngest 2 are the real food fiends, that is they eat anything in site. All have foods and meals they don't like, and our 3 year old is going through a fussy phase, but she isn't losing weight and is happy enough. No baby is 'normal' (a word I despise) and each grows at their own pace.

He looks beautiful to me!! I wouldn't worry about it, she probably didn't even realise that what she said came across really tactless! And it says more about her than you or your baby, she doesn't know when to use constructive comments and blurts out anything!!

GRRRRRRRRR that gets my blood boiling as well, why do so many oldies think our children need to be obese to look cute... I wouldnt have being able to hold my tongue and said he is fine and i dont need to explain to u how i feed my son, she is a stranger that u may never cross paths with again,,.,.

You have a beuitiful little boy and he is your pride and Joy and dont let some old Biddy doubt the way he is. or the way you are as a mum, u are a great mum....

Thank you for the positive comment, makes me feel much better. I am just so angry that people think they have the right to say things like that. And in this day and age they should know better!!! obese is not cute and not healthy, then again neither is skinny and I know my baby is not either of these.
