To All the singles mums

by ajv00Comment Published at 02:0002:007 comments7 comments25 Visits25 VisitsReport

To All the single mums, I congradulate you!!   You all are  one super human person and you all deserved to be reconised.  (and the mums whoose partner/hubby dosen't help at all)

I say this because for the past 2-3 days my partner has been sick.  He came home from work on Monday feeling ill and for the past 2 days has been lazing around the house, doing nothing but feeling sorry for himself.

I have had to do everything, don't get me wrong I don't mind but hey it's hard work to keep a house in order, look after kids and cook dinner etc..

I am a SAHM looking after one child and I usually have to do all those things during the day, but when my partner comes home he can take over looking after the little one so that I can get other things done.  In that respect I am quite lucky.

So to all the single mums out there, I take my hat off to you,  all of you do a stirling job, keep it up!!

why is it???????

by ajv00Comment Published at 00:3200:325 comments5 comments20 Visits20 VisitsReport

Why is it that men can't do housework???    We have a fairly big area to clean with polished floor boards.  I'm having mothers group here on Wednesday and so wanted to clean it.  I vaccumed and swept and then moped the floors while my partner just looked on  arghhhhh   I guess this is normal for men to do this.  It is hot in melbourne today and who could be bothered?.   Bubs was in bed and he either watched me or watched the telly.....    I also tidied up some of the crap that was lying around.

I must admit that on most days when I'm cleaning he does help and today when bubs woke up he looked after him.  So I must give credit where it is due.  When bubs went back to bed I was giving him the silent treatment, I work better like that LOL.   He then got the idea and sort of helped.  When he went upstairs to get bubs after he woke up, totally blind he is walked passed the washing that was on the stairs.  I kept giving him little jobs to do and he did them so that was good.  *sigh* such is life huh???

I guess most women have this problem am I right?

Oh and the other thing, never puts anything in the kitchen away...  So it gets really messy (on the w/end) until we have a massive clean up after dinner.   I just leave it there to see if he will do something about it....  sometimes he does........

Well that is my whinge for the day.   And really I can't complain 'cause he really does help around the place a lot of the time.   Just need to vent.

A long hot summer

by ajv00Comment Published at 21:0021:000 comments0 comments12 Visits12 VisitsReport

Well, It is supposed to get up to 31 to day in Melboure that sure is hot, but I do like it.  Anything up to about 35 is my limit.     They all reckon (the weather people, media etc..) that it is going to be a long hot summer.  They say that every year, we have about 1-3 days of hot weather in October and they all start saying that.   "IT'S GOING TO BE A LONG HOT SUMMER"    Well, it never is a long hot summer.  In Melbourne the weather can suddenly change just like that - *snap* in an instant.   One day 31 the next 18.  Thats Melbourne for you.

I like the hot weather.   I love the fact that you can just get up of a morning when it is already 20 degrees and just know that your going to put shorts and a t-shirt on.     I hate having to pile all those clothes on in winter just to keep warm.

We are lucky in Melbourne that the nights don't get too warm it always gets down to a nice sleeping temp.  Don't get me wrong we do have some nights where you just can't sleep and you have to have the air con on all night.

So for tomorrows weather in Melborne it will be a lovely 23 can't complain about that.  The next day will be 18 and as for the rest of the week well I can tell you it's not going to be A LONG HOT SUMMER

Today I checked my babies nappy not wet, so I put it back on. I then sat down at the computer with him and I suddenly felt this wetness on me and YES he had PEED on Me.  How gross is that??  I did check  the nappy to make sure it was on or so I thought B4 I came to the computer  So I went and changed the both of us and then put bubs to bed.   I came back to the computer only to find out that he had vomited on the floor.  How did i know?    I stood in his vomit    So up to the shower I went to get properly cleaned.
