Sorry Everyone it's a long one, 2 bolgs in 1! lol
Well, most of you know we went on a little holiday last w/end for the ANZAC holiday. We had a really good time but bubs didn't travel very well. It is a long drive. It usually takes about 4 hours with out bubs and 5 or so with bubs. We went to a little country town near Hamilton in Victoria to visit my in-laws.
The drive up was pretty good we had to stop just outside of Ballarat to feed bubs and give him his lunch. So on the side of the road we stopped and with cars going past we tried to heat up bubs lunch from water in the thurmas and then give it to him. Success so on we pressed. Bubs slept to Ballarat and then again after his lunch.
We stoped in Dunkeled to have our lunch and bubs woke up so we gave him his bottle then the fun began. He was alright for awhile and then the crying started. Not too much but enough to irritate. We finally made it.
It was nice to have someone else cook for you etc.. and bubs was on his best behavour. We visited my partners brother and saw the new addition to the family. A new baby boy! I have to say I have never in my life watched so much footy AFL ( I can't stand it) my FIL loves it so we watched every game. Also I have never had so many cups of tea? LOL. All in all it was good. My partners brother came up from Balarat with his son. On Saturday night my partner and his brother and nephew (17) went out shooting and got 3 rabbits. It was good to get away and do nothing. Very relaxing.
On the way home bubs fell sleep and we had to get petrol so he then woke up. All the way to ballarat he wouldn't stop crying. This was for about an hour. It was the cut renching cry that my you want to cry but you can't do anything for him. I tried to give him toy, sing, even touch him he continued to cry and chuck the toys on the ground and puch my hand away it was awful. We stopped once on the side of the road to give him luch and he only ate a sml bit. He stopped crying as soon as we got him out and then started again as soon as we put him back he just didn't want to be there!
We stoped in ballarat and bubs had the rest of his lunch and a play at my partners brothers place. Then he slept all the way home! It was a good holiday!
Last night was a horrior! Bubs kept waking up every 1/2 hour or so from the moment he went to bed at 7.30 We put bonjella and gave panadol in case he was teething or in pain. I went to bed early as I knew It was going to be a long night. Anyway I woke up when my partner came in the room and I could hear bubs screaming. (he has a cold at the moment and we put him to bed with baby vix on) I yelled for him to go in and see him, he didn't so I got up and the poor thing couldn't stop crying. My partner told me that he had already fed him and changed him etc... We couldn't find what was wrong. I put him back to bed, he continued screaming left him until my partner couldn't stand it any longer and cracked it.
Bubs got fed again and then started screaming again. We went to put him in to the bed and he screamed again. He just didn't want to be in the bed. Nothing is wrong with it we checked. I wan't going to get up and play with him either. So we finally made the decision to bring him in to the bed with us. When he was born one of the rules was never to let him sleep in the bed with us. Considering he was sick we let him sleep with us for the whole night. He was good and today he still has a runny nose but is playing happily.
Hopefully we don't have one of those night again I couldn't stand it.
