Well about 3 weeks ago I joined the toy library... great idea, don't have to buy toys, and they get to go back so we don't have a mountain of toys piling up... Cool yes? Well, Until I got this letter yesterday.

I received a letter yesterday from the toy library stating that I am on the roster to man the library on a Saturday. I am on their roster. If I don't do it, it will cost me $20. I mean the cheek of them to do this with out asking me. When I joined up their was no mention that I would have to do the library duties.

Also the library is having a BBQ fundrasier and they would love it if I would put my name down to do a 2hrs shift.

My partner and I like to have time on our own on the W/end. I suppose it would be a great way to get out and about and to meet new people and hopefully meet some one with a bubs H's age. We are not that good at meeting people or doing things like this so it puts us off a bit.

Oh well, it is for a good cause and I may just only just enjoy myself and besides it will only be for 4 shifts a year. If I can't do the shift that I have been given then I have to ring someone up and swap! I don't even know these people yet!!!

Well it has got to be done and I will do it and who know what will happen.... Isn't this what having children is all about??

It would have been nice to be asked to do it, or at least mention it when I signed up.   Oh BTW I got a mention in their news letter as being a new member.

Yes!, that's right all the blocks are gone.  I am sick to death of my son continually throwing them around and not caring whether it will go through the glass window or hit one of us.

He loves to play with his blocks he will crawl with one in each hand and make a huge loud noise, he loves to stack them up and knock them over, but the one thing he loves to do is throw them about  ARGH!!!!!

I understand that he probably does not understand at this young stage of his life, I get that, I really do.   But for the past week or so I have been walking away from his behaviour and ingoring it with out any improvement......

So, today I got all the blocks and put them in a box, and put them away.    He may get them back on the W/end, he may get them back on tuesday.  It really just depends on how I feel and if he is playing with his other toy well or not....

So Good bye blocks!!!  May they RIP for the time being!

Well, I'm not sure how I feel really.  At a loss I suppose or I just wanna cry.  As most of you know it is my babies birthday today, god bless him he is turning 1!

I love him so so much....  It's his birthday and I don't know how to feel.  I have to go to work today, and I have just left him at childcare is that so wrong?

Am I upset that I am loosing my baby that used to go to sleep in my arms?  am I now gaining a toddler that is terorising (sp) everything?  How he has grown up so so quick, once he was a tiny tiny little thing that could do nothing but cry when he wanted something and sleep when he needed to.  Now he is into everthing growing and learing so fast it is unbelievable. 

So today I guess I am happy that my boy turns 1 but on the other had I just feel so empty.  I love him so much.  I look at that cute face of his and my heart just melts.  That funny little giggle that he has........  I could go on..

The day started out well, never in my life have I wonted my baby to wake up early. LOL  I wonted him to wake at 6.30 so his naps could be a little earlier so he would be awake for his 1st birthday party.  He woke at 6.45.  Had an hour nap at 9.30 yeah!!!  Went to bed at mums at 1.30 and woke at 3.15.  The guests had arrived at 2.30.  Thats ok we had started on the champers.

H opened one pressent b4 the party...  It was a present sent from my partners mum and dad they live in the country.. 

He got some clothes and a golliwog teddy that he decided to eat....

This is what we gave him for his birthday a play gym he is a bit young yet for it yet but he loves it.......  

Anyway H dressed up for his party...  What a spunk LOL..  The outfit was given to him by grandma, my mum.  My mum knitted the cardy.

There was lots of food at the party and we had cup cakes for the cake....

H got lots of loot (pressies)...

His cousins were all too eagar to help him open them.....

H ate lots and lots of food....

We had a ball, H had a ball.  All very exciting we left the party at about 5ish and when we got home H wanted to play on his play gym so he had dinner then supervised play on the gym he go very up set when we told him after about 20 min that he couldn't play on it anymore.  He was very tired and had an early night tonight.  I really hope he sleeps through tonight as the rest of us are all pooped out.....

H's birthday isn't untill tomorrow but a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my gorgous boy...  I love you so very much!  Oh how they grow up too quick.

I can't beleive it, it is so exciting the year has gone so quickly my boy turns 1 on Monday.  It is hard to believe!!!

We are having a small party at my mum and dads place on Sunday.  It will be a joint party with my neice who turns 2,  2 days after my boy.

Anyway mum likes to do all the preperations so she is making the cake, she is going to make lots of cup cakes and tier them up like a triangle if you get what I am saying.  They will have pink and blue icing on them.  For boys and girls.  We will have fairy bread, sausage rolls, little sandwhiches,fruit platter, lemonade and of course champers to toast the day. 

My whole family will be there and my very good friend and her mum and dad (they are like my second parents) and my sister is inviting her very good friend.   So all up 14 adults and about 7 kids.   My boy will probably sleep through some of it like my other neice did.  It is going to be an afternoon thing.  

I can't wait it is all very exciting!!!!!!

As you all (most of you ) know I have been sick.  I had extended time off work due to my thyroid and some other stuff.  I finally showed up yesterday.

Anyway I was due to do back to work on the Public holiday Monday last week and I couldn't.  I went back yesterday and I was told that on that Monday I was due back they had planned a party for me..  an afternoon tea.    I didn't show up

I am so gratful that people were thinking of me and that they had showed me that they really cared by planning an afternoon tea for me.  Also one of my co-workers yesterday gave me a box of chockies.   The thought and act of kidness really cheered me up.

It is people like most of my work mates that make going to work so enjoyable.  The work maybe hard and busy and most of the time not liked but with people like that all of this is overcome.

So a big thank you to all of them for thinking about me.

Also another work mate had tried to ring me and wish me well but I am a silent number.  Thought goes along way.

So It is really nice to know that people do care.   Thank you also to my minti friends who wished me well. 

I am supposed to go to work today aftenoon shift 1pm to 2130.  I haven't  been at work for about a month due to my thyroid.

This morning I woke up with pains in my stomach, I've been to the toilet about 4 time and thrown up once.  Looks like I might have gastro.

Thats just great, just great.  How does that make me look if I ring up and cancel?  Not very good in my book.   I don't wont to infect the patients and policy is that I need 48hr clearence b4 I can go back ARGH!!!!!!

On a lighter note I took bubs to the park yesterday and he had great fun climbing on everything.  Here is a pic on the swing:

Yes that is right finally my boy as eaten something.   We had an early dinner tonight and I cooked lasagne (SP) It was so yummy.   My boy sat in his high chair at the table with us and ate most of what we gave him untill he put the rest on the floor. LOL.  He then had a few teaspoons of stewed apples.

This is the first decent meal that he has eaten since Wednesday.   I am so proud of him.

And she said what all doctors say when they don't know whats wrong its a virus! 

Despite him throwing up at least 4 times today and being a little dehydrated and not eating anything (at least he is now drinking water) and being clingy and whiny and snuffly She just took one look at said Oh, it must be a virus....(you know the one that is going around!)  Well I must say she did check his throat, ears and listen to his chest and back and feel his tummy. 

He was so good through out all that   Now really tired as we went over the nap time. 

So....  the Dr said that I could give some gastrolite since he is not really having anything so I asked the chemist and she gave me hydrolite which is the same thing.  It is liquid in a tube that can be cooled and given as a drink or frozen and eaten like that. (sucked on)

He is sleeping now god bless him and I do hope he has a really good sleep.

Thank you to each and everyone of you who replied to my last blog and sent well wishes for him to get better.

Yesterday he seemed fine.  He didn't eat much which i put down to being phase that he is going through.    Seemed a bit snuffly when I put him to bed so I put some baby vix on and his bed is already elevated.  He didn't have a good night up about 5 times just grizzly as usual.  At about 5.45 he was snuffly and had a cough.  He went back to bed until just after 7am

This morning he only had 1/4 of his milk then proceeded  to  vomit it all up through mouth and nose.  I think he has a lot of mucous that is making him feel ill.   

He had a dryer than normal nappy this morning and wont take any water that I offer him.  So I guess lots of rest, keep trying with the fluids and a trip to the DR sounds in order today.   

Today will be a day of rest for him (although he is playing like mad like he always does) and a trip to the DR. 

Fingers crossed that he recovers quickly, my poor boy, I really don't know how to make him feel better except lots of cuddles.

Well, I like to think so anyway... 

Yesterday when I dropped bubs of a childcare he waved me good bye.  He has never done this on his own with out someone holding his arm and helping

When he came home from childcare yesterday, he was playing and I heard mum, mum, mum, mum,  We have been teaching him that for at least 2 mths now.

He has now in the last 2 weeks mastered the actions to the song "open shut them"  We only get up to the clapping but its a start!

SMILES ALL AROUND   My boy is so talanted.

I would like to say a hugh THANK YOU to everyone who replied to my question yesterday about my bubs makeing a fuss over eating breakfast.

Success today, I think...  Yesterday I went out and I bought some Jar cereal and museli and also some flavoured porridge!   Today I gave brekky a  little later than normal.   I gave him some jar cereal which he seemed to love and then a little bit of flavoured porridge.  He seemed to like that so I think we are on to a winner. 

If he tires of all this then I am going to make some eggy bread (french toast)! 

My boy is now in front of seseme street eating a finger of toast!  Lets hope that this continues!
