The Calgary Stampede is about rides, partying, drinking, stampede breakfasts, even bands come too and all that sorts of stuff. Yea it has some horse's but only in the animal part of it...(like a mini zoo for all the kids to see)

You don't have to get out of the way. But it's really packed and lot's of people come to it. Like they were saying people from the UK are coming, and some people from the states. It's a big thing here in Calgary and it comes every July. It's down at the Saddle Dome(in downtown Calgary)

Thanks! Sounds really fun and similar to the state fairs that we have here in the US. Like a celebration of summer, music, family, agriculture and just generally enjoying the weather with many thousands of your friends

I've never been to Calgary but if we ever visit hope that it is during the Stampede!
