Alright.. Well, last week I had an interview at the Wal-Mart which is the Supercentre one in Airdrie (about 15 mins from my place in Crossfield) and I thought the interview had gone real well. The girl who did my interview actually lives out in Crossfield so that's kinda neat I think! Anyways, they had to send in my check and do my reference check, etc etc.. Then they would call me back in a couple days.. Never heard anything, so I was going to call today but I let it be..
Anyways.. I got a voicemail on my cell phone saying that they want to book me in for a job offer (which is the second interivew)... You have NO idea how much that makes me happy..
I can't wait to see what they have in mind for me.. Cash or in a department somewhere.. I'd love to be in a department :) Baby's or something like that.. I guess we will wait and see what happens!!
So Monday @ 2:30pm I have my second & last interview (i think) ... So now more excitment to look forward too!!!

Now, 1 more day to move.... YahoooOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then I will be out of Calgary for good.. Well not really.. Just not living in it, while I will still be working there. Which is ok with me.. I can deal with the traffic in and out of the city as long as I'm not living in it lol..
Getting very excited now.. With being 2 days left until I am in my new place is like waiting to open presents on Christmas morning.. Hubby will be home tomorrow sometime, I have it off so it will be nice to have him home and move stuff over before Saturday!

Cadence has been having wonderful days at day care.. She doesn't even want to come home when I go to pick her up. Go figure eh? But at least she's been having fun none the less!! I can't complain there, I suppose!

Starting July 4 the Calgary Stampede will be on, right up until July 13.. Man, it's going to be BUSY here.. We will have an extra million on top of the 1.2 million we already have here just for this Stampede.. It's fun to go to.. But really hot when you're down at the grounds.. I never stay long, I can't actually only because once I've been in the heat too long I start to get sick and get real bad migraines.. I am allgeric to the sun, lovely eh?
There will be TONS of rides and TONS of bands.. Lots of things to do that's for sure.. Games, seeing shows, LOTS of walking lol.. Gambling, etc... You name it, I'm sure they got it!!!!

Oh, to top off my week so far (its not even over yet) I found out yesterday that 2 people I went to school with killed themselves.. First, he did it.. So far no one knows why and his parents blame his ex girlfriend (which is the other one who killed herself), she never had anything to do with it (she was very much in love with him) anyways, she was going to his funeral on Monday and his parents wouldn't let her in, she went home and everything, then yesterday (tuesday) she hung herself.. Nobody knew she was going to do it.. So I ask myself, I wonder what HIS parents think now because of them she killed herself (and of course not having her boyfriend around anymore) they could have prevented her from killing herself, alot of people believe it as well. Yes they were hurt, BUT you don't think she was hurting too..
Sometimes I wonder, why do people feel the need to kill themselves.. What for? It could of been stopped if they got help (maybe sometimes that would never of helped in the first place)
Poor kids.. They were only 22 & 23 years old.. I feel sorry, I really do.. And then just last October, a guy I dated in Junior High he died in a car crash(when I found out, I balled my eyes out, it came to a complete and utter shock).. So 3 people I went to school with, 1 to whom I was close with died at a very young age.
All I can say is WOW... I wish they were still here with us..

So.. I hope my week gets better.. Hope that nothing else goes wrong..

And I'm not sure exactly what I think of them.. The Pull-Ups with the Cool Alert.. I don't think the cool alert works though.. because she's peed in them and hasn't said a word at all.. See the thing is, I want her potty trained before shes 3 years old.. I think I am going to go through ALOT of Pull-Ups.. I don't want to but I think I am gonna be.
Now she's gone on the potty a few times today but she doesn't pee, just sits there and then says "all done mommy" and gets off and gets her diaper on!!

I hope she gets the hang of it.. I know we're gonna try harder once we're in our new place.. I think this is going to be a long hard process.. I need some tips or something.. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyways, another topic... 6 days we will be in our new place! I'm soo happy.. I work 3 days this week.. Monday, Wednesday & Friday.. I'm getting sick of having work one day, have one off, work one day, have one off.. It gets fusterating because you can't get anything done.. Blah!!

I work up this morning and it was COOL out.. It was about time.. Then we went and bought some groceries and it was raining by the time we got out.. We didn't have our jackets.. Opps..  We got a little wet in the process of going back to the car!! Oh well.. It's not like we got drenched or anything like that!!

But I think we're having a good day.. Other than trying to get her going on the potty like she did a couple weeks ago.. I'm proud of her when she does go on it.. Whether that be sitting on it or actually peeing in there and I'm sure she knows it (I tell her alot!)

I ordered some pizza for us tonight.. She ate a small piece and is almost done her second piece.. What a big girl I got.. It was only pepperoni & mushroom.. (A place called pizza73) I got 2 pizzas.. They are only 9" ones, you buy one and get either wings or a second pizza free!! So I decided to get another pizza.. For either tomorrow or if I get a little hungry later on tonight... (hopefully that won't happen since Im going to bed in a few hours)....

I guess we will see what the rest of the week brings.. Hopefully good, thats for sure!!

Then we are in our new place.. I am getting EXCITED...
They put trees in our yard.. I can't remember what the landlord said they were (one is a cherry tree I think?? could be wrong) but they are beautiful.. The landscaper did it last week or something.. Or earlier this week..

I think my husbands brother is helping us move, so that's good.. My husbands mother is taking Cadence for the day so we can get everything done and not have to worry about her being in the way and not listening to us. I wanted her to take her over-night but my husband said there's no point but I thought that it would be a good idea that way we can get her room up and she could see it the following day (Sunday-29th)... Anyways, I don't think it's going to happen so I just have to deal with her that night after I come back from the city (cleaning this place which will be late, so I am hoping she will be in bed haha!)

So Cadence has really been indepentant lately.. Trying to put on her diaper and just doing everything herself.. As for the diaper part she can't get it on. I want to buy pull-ups for her (since we're in the process of potty training anyways) that way she can do it herself without mommys help or daddys for that matter (whenever he does one that is lol!!) My husband said no, just buy regular diapers and not to worry about the pull-ups just yet. But I think I'm going ahead and going to buy the pull-ups. It will give her more freedom and I think that's what she needs.
Ok, YES she will still come to me to get changed but at least if she wants to pull it up she can or take it off (hopefully not a dirty poopie diaper lol)
See the thing is.. I wanna get her potty trained.. Pull-ups are WAY more expensive than diapers and have less in them as well.. So we will have to pay the price until she's fully potty trained.. Well at night she can wear a normal diaper because so I've heard around that pull-ups don't hold alot and need to get changed before they start to leak?? Could be wrong but that's what I heard!

I should be going for now.. I have to put a load of laundry in.. If there is enough to do, put the other loads away (god I hate putting away laundry, don't mind washing them though!) and then take her out or something.. It's gonna be 27C today.. man, it's hot! Right now it's 825am on Saturday and it's already 14C out..

So I got my laptop back.. It didn't take long at all which is just awesome and I'm soo happy about that!
Turns out that the LCD inverter went on it and they had to replace it. I hope that never happens again.

Then on Monday I got some bad news.. How lovely eh? Work called, told me not to come in for the rest of my shifts this week because hours have been cut. Me and another cashier lost all of our shifts this week. I was pissed so because they never gave me 24 hrs notice for yesterdays shift, they had to pay me 3 hours and I got to work today and I get to work my shift on Friday.. So techinally I only lost 4 hrs of work so that's not bad at all. A hell of alot better than 21 hrs of work (which what was scheduled for this week)

So yesterday since I had it off, I took Cadence and we drove out to Airdrie so I could put my name in some places. Walmart was one of them, its soo close to home and SuperStore.. Walmart called me back tonight and then I will find out when my 1st interview will be with them. Hopefully tomorrow, since I got it off and I can take her to day care. So we will only see what happens next! She's gotta call me back because she's in an interview with someone right now.
I have never been to a place where it says "1st interview" so I wonder???

So if hubby is home this weekend we'll be moving stuff over and hopefully be in, if not for sure on the 28th we'll be in.. Oh yes.. I am getting excited and happy about it. I had to go out to our new place yesterday and noticed that the landscapers planted 2 trees and put the numbers on our house so that people would know what number we are, lol! Not that it matters because I don't get mail there since I have a PO BOX address... So much for a small town, which is kinda neat!

Just writing from my BlackBerry to say that I won't be on for a while. My laptop broke last night and its going in for warranty. Gonna take 2-3 business days for the box to arrive and then anywhere from 10-25 days to get my laptop back from the main depot where they fix lenovo laptops (IBM)... Talk to you all when I get back. It might be when we are in our new place too, who knows. We will just have to wait and see! Have a good one all! Ill miss you!!!!! :) xxxx

1. Starting with name, location (dont be too specific), how many children (and ages).  Hi, my name is Ally, I currently live in Calgary, Canada (but in the process of moving to a VERY small town of 3,000) I have 1 daughter, her name is Cadence and she's 2 years old.
2. How did you find Minti? I was on MSN's homepage one day back in June 2006 (maybe even the end of May) and I saw Rachel Cooks name.. It's funny, because I thought she was Rachel Ray at first (haha, stupid I know) but I clicked on ad that runs across and a little profile came up on her. It talked about Minti and how its for parents. Sure enough, I went to this site and I have never looked back.
3. What's your favorite thing or feature at Minti? Can I pick both? I would have to say it's the advice I get when needed.. But there's another.. The people I have met on Minti, it's just wonderful. Soo many great friends, who I can talk to with just about anything that is going on in my life or theirs.
4. What's your favorite thing about being a parent? I think seeing my daughter grow up each and every day. I hate it, but it's a good thing.. She's learning soo much and I am so proud of her. Teaching her how to talk and pronounce things more and explaining stuff to her when she comes to me and asks!
5. What has been your biggest parenting challenge? That's a tough one.. I'd have to say not having enough help from my husband when I need it the most. I get through it no problem with a little bit of phone help from either my husband or my mother. Also, I think getting through these temper tantrums is a very hard parenting challenge, just to try and figure out what your child wants and they sometimes aren't able to tell you, it can get very fusterating but we all work through it (phew!!)
6. What worries you most about parenting ? (education, health, mental development, physical development, teaching manners, etc ) I think I would have to pick education, I want her to have one.. I never got to finish High School. I dropped out at the age of 16 and never went back. I was young and stupid and now I have realized that I shouldn't of done it and kept to it. I don't want her to turn into a bratty kid, I have seen WAY too many of them and I hate what it can do to a family (I was somewhat one of them) I want her to keep her manners, she has them and uses them already. There are soo many answers for this one, it would take forever to answer them I think.
7. What's the best parenting advice you've ever gotten from someone? Take one day at a time, all kids are different.. When the time is right, it will come.
8. What were your babies first words? This is an easy one.. Mom were her first words, then dada.. Oh god I remember soo clearly and it's been forever ago lol.
9. What is your favorite song? I would have to say "Don't take the girl" by Tim McGraw (he's a country singer and I have LOVED this song for the longest  time, it has meaning to it and it made me cry)
10. What is the funniest thing you or your child or significant other has done or said? LOL.. Um.. Let's see here.. Good question.. Now I can't even get any off the top of my head (see this happens when you've been put on the spot, hahaha!) Ok, well yesterday Cadence went upstairs to her room, for god knows what and she comes back down saying "oh mummy, I got bunny" to me that was funny. Just out of no where she says that and it was cute. I was on the phone with my sister and she started laughing, LOL!
11. Using just one word sum up Minti. Awesome - Why? Because it's such an awesome place to meet new parents from ALL over the place and get the advice you need.
12. What is the best piece of advice you have got from Minti? Oh my, I've gotten soo many from here. I think it'd have to be when I was always worried about her not crawling, talking much. I got positive feedback from people, that every baby is different (which is what I said up in question 7) and it takes time.
13. How do you deal with your Minti addiction? I guess I just come onto Minti to clear the addiction that I got. Sometimes I come on once a day or others I come on 4 or more times a day. I just love reading blogs & writing on other members lounges.
14. How does your family deal with your Minti addiction? Well, my daughter don't care.. I think she could care less at this stage (until she gets older than is) BUT my husband on the other hand, he doesn't understand why I go onto Minti soo much. He's like you're on that site again and I just keep my mouth shut lol.. I think in a way he understands why I come on here, to find advice, talk to people I know, etc..

Already it's June 1st.. I can't believe it.. These past 6 months have gone by soo quick!
My sisters birthday is in 2 days, she'll be 21! Then I'll be 23 in October, ahhhhh.. I'm getting OLD! hehehe..

Just think, in 27 more days... I will be moving and will be FOR SURE into my new place.. I will even have the internet set up for then as well, just as long as we get the computer and router all hooked up.. If it's me.. OF COURSE....
