handwashing

Comment Published at 05:0605:062 comments2 comments12 Visits12 VisitsReport

well i didnt get my washing machine today because before i knew it , it was 1pm. i still had to go to the gym and i was starting work at 4pm. well my fitness son actually got my priorities right for me. he said you can get your washing machine tomorrow but you cant skip the gym

well he was right and mind you he did his session at the same time. as he is a personal trainer and works at the gym  there was no short cuts for me!!! i wasnt even allowed to shorten my exercise program and he knew because he is the one that wrote the program for me.

well getting back to the handwashing, the laundry has piled up . my washing machine broke down saturday. not very old mind you just approaching 6 years. but i decided tonight to handwash abit. i did it when we were overseas holidaying for 3 months in 2005. big mistake!!! this isnt holiday time and this isnt just 2 people. my hands are all wrinkled. my back and shoulders are sore from bending constantly in the basin

funnily enough though i feel as if i have achieved something. i feel great about it. i remember my mum hand washing constantly when i was a little girl and mum had 8 people in the household 6 children and mum and dad.! mind you they didnt even have hot water they used briquettes to warm up the water and when that was expensive  and they didnt have enough money to constantly buy more they used wood.

we take so much for granted.  goodnight and cheers to all minti members

Re: handwashing
hand washing always comes out cleaner and to save your hands use a potatoe masher there brill for wacking up and down and they remove all the stains iv jst done that for two weeks while i was away and i always did it when my washer broke down its like having your own little dolly tub a hot bowl f water and a potatoe masher
