here goes i have such a back log of ironing it isnt funny!!! so many shirts!!! i have 3 men in the house!

by the time i go to work then get home do the shop the cooking the cleaning the washing then the ironing stacks up!!!

mind you we still iron as we go so to speak so the stack wouldve been higher!!

i usually dont mind if i have the music loud hey but its sunday morning the household is still sleeping after all the FA cup was on late last night (for those who dont know its the english soccer and with the time differnece in australia we view it late here)

so here goes ......... a few deep breaths and only the tv to keep me company!!! its not the same when im ironing i want music!!! hey but sometimes we have to settle for 2nd best!!!

Hey,

I have to say I never iron. I used to do it for a living and i guess I overdosed hehe

If you hang the shirts on a hanger to dry, most times you'll find you don't need to iron them. Anything to avoid ironing lol

i try to keep it at a minimum but even though im the only female in the house its the 3 guys that have the most clothes that i iron for!!!

actually the hanger is the best. ive only done that occasionally. but i will do that from now.

Oh, not the best way to spend Sunday morning I have to say. I am lucky though, I dont iron. I just hang the odd button-down that I wear to work on a coat hanger to dry and my hubbys uniform is a polo shirt so no ironing there either.
I get it off mum, I honestly dont think she owns an iron. But my school shirts always turned out ok so I work on her philosophy!

how thats excellent.all the ironing is from hubby and my 2 adult children.

i hardly have any ironing of my own because i tend to buy wash and wear fabrics. i still dress smart but i avoid 100% cotton they are the worst. if its a combination of polyester / cotton thats better to iron. i try to teach my boys that but unfortunately they still occasionally buy them because they love the garmet so much!!

i wish manufacturers were to consider consumers in this respect.

i also tend to wash the shirts on gentle spin (less creases) i hang my washing under the bogola so they dont get as creased as on the outside line. i also hang them up in my guest room wardrobe unril its time to iron cuts ironing time in half.

i prefer to bring them in because if hubby or the boys do it they are so creased that i spend twice as long to iron.

yeah its a case of "slowly but surely" ive now managed to do most of hubbys shirts there is still to do the boys. meanwhile i took another break to have a shower.

i have minti on standby so im logged in but 'not there" i have it at the bottom of the page so i can drop in as well

at least the rain has stopped in melbourne it was raining all day yesterday and i beleive some parts of country victoria was raining thursday and friday

well i shouldnt complain we do need the rain!!!

Annie, You have it good, think of me, I to decided to iron today, kids are sick so can't go anywhere, the music is not happening as apparently its to loud and they can't hear the tv, so I am ironing watching childrens shows..... I decided to give up and do it tonight lol Have fun xx

well one son got out of bed because he coaches a soccer team and he put the music on an internet site theat he loves from athens. so iron is close to computer!!!

i still have only done 3 shirts but im having grilled pita bread with melted cheese and tomato and coffee then its back to the grind board so to speak

with support i might scrape through

Hey,

I would just give up, we don't iron in our house unless we really need it. LoL I would let the men to it themselves and if they want it then they iron it or go with out!

I feel your pain tho at not doing it with music. I love the music loud when I do the housework.

hey i just did 3 of hubbys shirts ive stopped for a break already!!!

yeah they do iron there shirts as they go if i havent done it but at the same time my guestroom has turned into a "spare room" because all the clothes for ironing go in there with the ironing borad.

but i pull out the board and take it to the living area!!

unfortunately all their jobs entail wearing shirts,
