pauline there is something special about big families.

like you said its great when there are weddings and christenings. i had 4 births from lasy year and 1 christening . there will be 3 christenings coming up and all this just from my neices!!!

i havent even touched on weddings from friends that we attended last year.

i find if i plan ahead i get great expensive presents and great prices.

but if i leave it to the last minute (i work too) i end up paying full price or giving cash. it can go double this way.

i wasnt actually present at birth the baby was born a month ago. it was the video i watched yesterday .

the video itself was fasinating

yeah cazza we are a large family. i have 3 sisters and 2 brothers

my oldest sister has 6 children the youngest being twins  and has 17 grandchildren. sister no 2 has 2 children and one granddaughter brother next with 2 children and a grandson then my other sister  3 children and 1 granddaughter(she is the one i went to see then i have 2 children  and my youngest brother with 2 children!

so we are always surrounded with all ages!

i know. we paid to get a video of our youngest sons christening in 1984 video cameras were just starting to come in and they were expensive then and a luxury item.

not many people owned them so we piad a photographer to video tape it and then we bought a video player. we had just bought the video player they had given us a free cassette with purchase.

at that stage we only had 2 tapes and they were also expensive to buy. so i hadnt built up a collection yet

i taped on one tape which i thought was the blank but it wasnt it was the christening!!!

unfortunately the photogropher hadnt kept a copy he gave us the origional.

i cried for hours when i found out what i had done.

so on my sons second birthday my sister (who was one of the first to buy a video camera in our h/h ) taped his birthday to try to compensate for the christening.

i have never forgiven myself for not double checking the tape
