Does he drive? How about hiring a sports car? or is there a race track near you? Maybe a spin in a race car?

 Annie i don't know if your son is into :Whodunit nights"...i'm sure them would have them in Victoria...from a couple of friends i know, they reckon they are one fantastic night, of  mystery and challenge.

What about a trip to Wimbledon ! ! ! !Only joking of course my son has booked atrip to New York for his 40th !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but unfortunately he is paying for it himself .That's what gave my husband the idea of doing the N. Y.Marathon so they are going together in November ,But Marcus isn't doing it with him.

What about a country farm stay holiday?  I believe there are some really good ones offered in Victoria!  I went to school with a girl who's parents ran one, but unfortunately that was a few years ago, and I no longer have their contact details.
