finally just got my son to upload photos from my hot air ballooning experience both photos were taken by me on saturday may 24th 2008 celebrating my fiftieth birthday present. it took me just over 12 months to use my gift voucher

partly through a time and weather factor but mostly from my fear of heights. i kept delaying it til i knew i couldnt delay any further without forfeiting the gift.

i conquered my fears i actaully wrote an advice blog about it.

the hot air balloon you see is of another one that was in the sky and ive taken the photo while we were in mid air in another hot air balloon .

the view of melbourne was taken just as we are approaching my beloved princes park (carltons old football ground) oh so many memories of watching the carlton greats the likes of nichols jezza (jessaulenko) sergio silvani southby doull maclure kernaghan just to name a few .............

it was just before we landed at royal park . these memories will stay with me forever. in fact i loved the experience so much

yeah i want to walk up the top of sydney harbour bridge next but i think parachuting absailing and the likes are beyond me

maybe i will change my mind and do it one day but for the present i will put those two on hold....

My husband and son are looking forward to go up the Empire State building when they go to New York in November, I shall be hoping they are ok. We as a family wentto the top of Cologne Cathdral in 1980 and we all loved. A hot air balloon is something else and I know hubby would love that.

yeah ive been up the eiffel tower . i would love to go up on the sydney harbour bridge not in the car lol you climb it at the top you wear a special harness and you walk this special plank where the frame is on the very top

you go up there with a group and a tour guide. my older son did this with his friends about 5 years ago and he has photos of himself and friends in their special gear. they all looked so excited and happy

empire state building in new york im sure your husband and son will enjoy that lol

everything was just surreal . like watching myself in a movie. everything kinda happened as if it was "meant to happen"

similar feeling to dejavu.

as if i knew what was goig to happen and just accepting it . like i knew i was going to take those next steps

my experience started from the morning back in march 2007 when i was drawn to my bedroom window of that soosh noise just to see hot air balloons ib the sky.

i had seen hot airballoons in the sky before but this was different something attracted me to them that morning like a magnet draws metals to it. i still cant explain this.

so when i was asked what i wanted for my birthday i knew that this was it

believe me the experience was wonderful if i go to sydney again i wouldnt mind "climbing the sydney harbour"

my son did that with his friends and he has photos of it . you are harnessed and you are taken up by a guide

yeah and it was the last shot i had left on my memory stick .

i had taken an earial view of my beloved "princes park" but i had to delete it to take that one .

im so glad i did

something about the sunrise and being up high it was like we were closer to heaven and god
