hi everyone after getting up early in the morning 6.30am, and combatting the morning traffic manged to arrive to tullamarine airport. got there just after 8am.

thanks to technology my son and i were able to converse and he had landed but was waiting to go through to customs.

everytime someone from their squad came out there was cheering. after taking a few photos we eventually got out of airport 10.am to start the drive home.

my son bought me a mickey mouse and minnnie mouse ceramic type figurine which i have just added into my glass cabinet.

he received three medals the cup will remain with the directors of the academy.

i have a glass cabinet that is full of trophies and medals over the yearsof both of my boys with all of soccer and swimming

now its great to have my son safe and sound in our home sweet home

yeah the medals are all his to keep the cup belongs to the whole team but there are 3 directors of the company so the directors take it as it belongs to the organization

so they will hav it on display in their soccer headquarters

he is so tired that he has been sleeping since 1pm its 10.30pm in melbourne now so i would think he is going to sleep right through. they all looked exhausted. the climate change as well !!

humidity and 30 degree heat to our cold icy winter 10 degrees during the day and it will fall to about 4 degrees im estimating

Yup an early morning Annie, bet you were not sleeping anyway, knowing your son was arriving home today.

What a thrill it must have been hearing everyone cheering as they emerged from customs....annie you didn't say was there any welcome home ?????

Your glass cabinet sounds like mine, less the trophies and medals now....but filled with everything i treasure....with every item telling it's own story.

no i didnt get much sleep i went to bed early morn anyway i was so excited .

welcome home as best as possible being a working week hubby is working regional victoria and left yesterday but spoke to him via mobs this morning .

my older son works close by and came for lunch but i had popped into neighbour for coffee so i missed the reaction of the siblings.

but ive seen how happy they are to see each other on other occasions so i can "picture that'

yeah i should sleep like "a baby"

cute arent they and he bought for himself a little mickey mouse soft toy and its identical to one that i had bought them when they were young.

ive kept all their toys and at least now they can have a mickey each to pass on to thir children in the future

tears are guaranteed but i cry at arrivals too. of course its emotional and tears of joy and relief that he is home safe and sound

children can bring so much hapiness. its "sweet " when they do things like this because its the thought that counts.

it so reminds me of all my "mothers day gifts" i received when they bought it from the stalls when they were in primary school because its given with so much love

i feel it . he absolutely puts his heart and soul into his coaching so its rewarding to see these achievements

yeah his sleeping now so jet lagged and they didnt get much sleep prior to all that

thanks i was crying at the airport before he came out and cried some more when i saw him.
