The flu has hit here again. Time to call the Seal catcher in I think. Mostly, we all have a nasty cough and it is worse at night. I know it is caused by the cooling weather and the dryness of the air so we have new heaters and I'm thinking of getting a humidifier for each of the girls rooms as well as several bowls of water placed around the house.
Today is the worst I have been with the coughing, but that's ok, I'm trying sucking on ice cubes to see if that helps with the tickle at the back of the throat.
Les had a terrible coughing fit last night that almost saw him passing out from it. Just as well I have very good hearing and could tell he was in trouble even though I was in another room. A good 5 mins of pounding on his back (much like they do with cystic fibrosis sufferers) and he was fine. Me? Still trying to get my heart rate down and resist the urge to knock him flat! Only he knows how to give me a heartattack!
The Scammelling's (our girls) have all had the coughing at some point, though Laurel and Acacia have been the worse with it, especially little Acacia. It is so hard to hear them barking away and know that there is very little I can do to help them. Eucky Bear Rub only works for a little while (childrens vicks) and then they are barking even worse. Their coughs are dry and more an irritation in the back of the throat, like mine.
Well, if anyone wants to sign up for the seal show, get your tickets here! lol. Oh, and I"m auditioning a Ring Master/Mistress too! ROFL. Ah yes, sense of humour still there, can't be all that sick! lol |
