Still Playing The Waiting Game

Comment Published at 18:0918:0944 comments44 comments71 Visits71 VisitsReport

But it can't be much longer now.  Will be calling the hospital on Monday is Puggle doesn't shift herself.  Yeah, haven't gone back since the last round of blood tests, but I know my body better than they do, besides, there is a 2 weeks wait for the Midwife Clinic and 6 weeks to get into see the obstetrician!!!!

I'm getting constant pain either in my belly or my back, and now I'm just waiting to see if they coordinate to get things going.  Probably doesn't help that I have spent much of my time on the couch the last few days just doing cross stitch and using my laptop.  Sorry for the neglect of Minti.

I now have a lot of washing to catch up on, but will get there slowly.  The rain hasn't been much of a help, and neither has the dryer since it spat the dummy a few weeks ago.  Rotten machine, still blows warm air but the drum doesn't spin around.  Oh well, I do have the inside clothes rack and am now making use of it instead.

Our girls have hit a completely feral patch!!!!  I've been sleeping on the couch the last few weeks as we have had the heater on in there at night and it needs to be supervised or little fingers will play with it.  It is also the only place I can get comfy at the moment.  Don't worry, Les isn't lonely in bed, Laurel has taken over my side most nights so he's copping the kicker! Hehehehe, I can't sleep in the same bed with her now as she takes up all of my side of the bed and kicks me in the kidneys and head most of the time.

The last couple of mornings, Ayla has come into the loungeroom making demands, even though she can see I'm asleep.  Hhhhhhmmmm, waking me up like that makes me very grumpy, and it is then very hard for me to get into a better mood for the rest of the day.  She almost missed out on going to school today her behaviour was that bad, something she doesn't like missing out on.

Well, best keep moving.  Washing machine should be finished soon and I will need to brave the ice cave under the house to hang it up and get the next lot on.

Trying to rest up.  Been getting lots of computer time and some cross stitch done.

You're over the half way mark now too, so not all that long for you either.

Washing pretty much washed and dried, just got to fold it and put it away now.  Not an easy thing to do when I need to sit on the couch and hubby is there asleep!

My washing baskets are often empty, just not the pile downstairs or the folding shelves! lol.

Was going to ask the hospital if I could come in for a monitoring session today, but now I have sick kids!

Re: Still Playing The Waiting Game

hey Arna,

i love puggle's name, very beautiful. Hey,it could be the belt on your dryer that has slipped off,i had the same problem a few weeks ago and brendan took the back off and found the belt off it,works like a dream now!!  I couldnt be without my dryer,i depend on it too much i think. I am washing all the time too,if i leave it for one day i have a whole day washing the next. Wet weather seems to bring out the naughtyness in the kids!! LOL....I really hope little puggle is here in the next few days,i keep checking your blogs to see if she is here yet. Have a good sleep tonight and take care..

Re: Still Playing The Waiting Game

It probably is the belt on the dryer that has broken, but they are so expensive to replace and we only paid $80 for the machine in the first place.  Not worth spending another $100 to get it fixed.  We hope to get a new(er) one in the next couple of months.

Puggle is still hanging in there, though I can't understand why, she must be so uncomfortable by now! lol.  I know I am.

Re: Still Playing The Waiting Game

ohh shezz, its not worth fixing at that price huh. You can get them for a good price second hand now...

sounds like puggles comfort is your discomfort! You would think running after the girls would bring her on faster.....well keeping my fingers cross for the next few days for you!!

xx

Re: Still Playing The Waiting Game

12+ months isn't bad for a machine that was second hand and only came with a 3 month credit warranty! lol.  Will be getting a better one soon as the weather here can be so unpredictable at times.

Yeah, I'd have thought me chasing around after our girls would have evicted Puggle by now, but not the case.  I think she is scared to have so many big sisters! lol.

And this being #5, if I don't know what is what, then I really need a kick in the pants! lol.

I have gotten a lot done on some of my cross stitch, though there is always more to do! lol.  My collection is uncontrolable, as is my enjoyment of collecting it all! lol.

There isn't much longer for you now either!  I reckon Puggle will be here first though, at least, she better be!

Re: Still Playing The Waiting Game

Shouldn't be much longer now.  By my due dates, we are already to go anytime now, by the official ultrasound, we have another 3 weeks to go, but I'm going to speak with the hospital on Monday if no joy before then as I don't want an over cooked, distressed bubs coming into the world.  That would really make me mad at the medical system!!!  They don't listen at the best of times, and I have more experience with being pregnant than most of the midwives!!

Re: Still Playing The Waiting Game

hi arna

looks like puggle is comfortable where she is.

ive never told you this before but the photo of your baby you are holding so reminds me of my oldest when he was a baby. i have a photo that is almost identical.

now i know mine is a son and yours is a daughter but at that age the gender look doesnt really matter.

one day i will dig out the photo and get my son to help me put it on site  and we can compare

cheers annie

Re: Still Playing The Waiting Game

Puggle is obviously very comfortable with her current accommodations, but she does have to come out some time and greet the world!

Yeah, that's Acacia in the photo.  She does look boyish in it, but cute just the same.  It's funny because now, she looks like Izzy's little girls! lol.  Just goes to show that we are all linked genetically in some way.

Yep, name is picked and we already have a participation certificate for her.  One where her name has been sent to the moon! lol.

Puggle will, once she finally wriggles out, be called Aralia Dawn.

Re: Still Playing The Waiting Game

Hi Arna, I hope she comes soon for you! I know what you mean about washing. It is the first sunny day for a few days here too and I am doing at least 5 loads today. I should be going for a walk in the sunshine in between loads. I will later. I am only up to load 3. There is at least 3 more to go. Will see how far I get. As long as the work clothes are done. The towels and sheets can wait. I can see Nik cleaned his room out. There wasn't this much here yesterday. Half of it probably isn't even dirty! Anyway just calling through to see how you are all going. Will keep checking in, Lynette xx

Re: Still Playing The Waiting Game

She will come soon.  As I sit here, everything is going through a tightening pattern again, and if I stand up, it feels like Puggle is just going to fall out! lol..

I was going to do some more washing today, but decided I needed to fold and put away the clean stuff first.  Running out of room in my folding corner! lol.

Re: Still Playing The Waiting Game

 Hey Arna,

You might want to kick Laurel out of the bed and see if Puggle can be helped along hehehehe I'm sure Les will think it's a good idea!! LOL

Hope Puggle isn't stubborn and decide to come late. You must be pretty over it by now.

I'm doing the catch up washing today. 2 loads down, 3 to go!

Re: Still Playing The Waiting Game

That's the plan for tonight, while Laurel is either sleeping on the couch or still in her own bed.  Both of us have been neglected in this department, and I for one have had enough of not getting my needs met! lol.  So is Les, though he's been a very patient boy.

Good luck with your washing.  I got 2 loads done yesterday, and there is so much to fold up and put away now!

Re: Still Playing The Waiting Game

Les keeps saying as long as the clothes are washed and dried, then it doesn't matter if I put them away, as they are only going to get worn again, but I do my best.

Things might have to go down hill for a while after Puggle does arrive though! lol.

I'm still around.  Just can't sit still for long these days.  Even on the couch, i've turned into a fidget! lol.

The big sisters are waiting patiently for the arrival of a new baby sister, though they want a brother.  Sorry girls, not going to happen! lol.

Come on  MySpace and Orkut Baby Girl Glitter Graphic - 8it is time you arrived, so all us minti Mum's can welcome you into this world.

Darn dryers seem to throw in the towel, when you really need them....for that matter any machines.

Arna, just wanted to wish you all the very best sweet and when Puggles does decide she is ready to make a grand entry...that everything goes well.

Love Janice xxxx

Re: Still Playing The Waiting Game

She's working on it Janice! lol  I think I've had a small leak of my waters, but not 100% sure.  Just now my belly feels a little bit flatter.  The last 2 days, Puggle has actually been really quiet, with the occasional hiccups and reminder she is still there.

Funny you should say towel, because that's what was in the dryer when it died, our towels!  Oh well, we have hundreds of them so not urgent to get them to dry.
