A usual day for us on Christmas Day, just like every other day except for a couple of things. 

Firstly, there were presents to open, a mountain of which took hours to buy and wrap and seconds to destroy.  Oh the joys of being a parent - you get to watch all the hardwork gone into carefully wrapping the presents go down the gurgler as mischevious monkeys tear and shred their packages apart to get to the goods inside.  All this done as you watch with a mixture of pain (for the care put into wrapping not being taken in the ...

The New Year is here!  Just seen it in with a glass of champagne and a kiss from my husband.

It feels like this is going to be an even better year than last for us, full of promise and better to our lives.

I have no notions of being the greatest computer tech in the world.  My skills are limited, though I am learning more all the time and updating old ones

Sewing For My Life.

My journey into the sewing world began when I was 12 years old, and my form of sewing is cross-stitch. I remember that my baby sitter at the time got me into it, and from there it has become an obsession.

The worlds economies are crashing one by one.  Jobs are being lost, home reposesd and families are struggling to put food on the table.  Many people are suffering around the world, and here in Australia too.

Our wonderful (?) Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd seems to have his head screwed on.  He has stated that families that are eligible will be receiving $1000 per child as a once off payment and pensioners will be getting some too.  Why?  Because he wants us to spend it now in order ...

Computer games. What a fantastic way to spend a rainy day. You can lose yourself in another world, pitting your wits and skills against another player or just spend time expanding your mind and trying to reach goals.

My parents and sisters did make it up to visit us yesterday, and it was a magic day!

Catching up was great, though I had to lip read as much as listen as my ears are still blocked, but hearing (or seeing) what they have all been upto was great.

My baby sisters are all grown up, and much taller than I am. Unless they are standing right in front of me, it is hard to remember they are anything but those gorgeous babies that had big smiles ...
