Our roof is finally done, though they still have to come and pick up the old roofing materials.  They finished yesterday, and just as well as it looks like we will be getting storms over the next few days.  The roofers were a couple who own their own business and accept contracts for work from other local businesses.  They were lovely people, cleaned our toilet, put the bins out and were lovely to have here.  Their dog was really well behaved too, though I could tell she was dying to come inside and play with our girls.  So glad the noise is over though!

Our neighbours  had a winge though.  Not at me, but I could hear them complaining and saying that it was very inconsiderate of us to have work going on without thinking about them and their needs.  Hhhhmmm, we had no say as we don't own the house and it needed to be done.  So much for them being so deaf they couldn't hear a drum if it was being played right in their ears!  They are an old couple, both of whom should be in full time supported living and obviously think their age gives them the right to dictate what others can and can't do to their houses.  Hope they are out of there soon, because I'm also sick of him trying to mow our fence down with his ride on mower.  No kidding, he;s knocked it down on the otherside!

I still have this flu bug, and it is has hit me hard, again.  i'm so sick of it.  6 weeks, and Les Willow, Laurel and Acacia have gotten rid of it.  Ayla only has a bad cough at night and is her usual self (cheeky and full of energey).  Just me with the headache, sore throat and aches and pains.  Not fair!  And I'm the one who is caring for 2 in 1!  Arrrggggghhhhhh!  And yes, I am taking a multi vitamin, but it is not doing any good.

The last couple of days it hasn't mattered how much sleep I have gotten, my body and my brain always seems to want more.  It is rediculous because I can be up and about for an hour and struggling to stay awake!

Even as I write this, I am struggling to stay awake, and it is only 5:30pm here.  Haven't had dinner yet but I don't think I can stay awake long enough!  Oh, and I had a nap around 1:30 for about 2 hours, on the couch!  It is driving me nuts as I have so many things I should be doing, but can't because when I get started, I have to stop after a few minutes and lay down again.

All I can say is, thank goodness for our futon.  This is rather comfortable and has been dragged around from pillar to post over the last 6 years.  It was the first brand new piece of furniture Les and I bought together and has been with us ever since.  We are convinced that Ayla was conceived on this futon!  Long story, and way too much info! lol.

I'm drinking heaps of water.  Got a special water cooler and filter for the table top and it is great.  I know I'm not dehydrated because I am drinking so much and peeing even more!  I feel thirsty all the time though.  Had it with all my pregnancies, so is 'normal' for me.

This is the second sessions work!  He has a bum! lol.  And yeah, couldn't stump any of you, it is Tigger!  I love Pooh Bear and Friends and have 100's of them! lol.

I reckon it is looking good and the tension is soooo even!  Must be doing it right! lol.

Easter......Yeah, lots of choccie and I think the girls are suffering from an over dose today as they are just little whiners today.  Oh well, I slept until 5pm yesterday!  Needed the catch up because of the roofers.  Stayed up til 5 am today though doing even more stitching, but will save that pic for another day.

Can't wait until Ayla goes back to school!  4 days of her bad behaviour is more than enough.  Funny how I didn't want her to start school, and now I can't stand the weekends and holidays because she is a real little trouble maker, worse than when she went to school.

Well, best go.  Chaos rules here at the moment, and I am off to find 5 mins quiet!

Hormones have  been racing, my patience with the computer has been low and after taking a break from trying to do the blog entry I wanted to do, I am back to try again!  If it doesn't work, I will be jumping on Les' computer to do it!

I have started my new cross stitch project, and thought that I would share my progress with you all.  That is, I will be taking a pic after each session I spend stitching and posting it here for all of you to see.  The mean thing is, I'm not going to tell you what it is of, you will have to guess!

  Ha!  That worked!  Yay!  It was Copy Image Location I needed after uploading it onto the minti gallery.

Ok, this is about 4 hours solid work and I am really pleased with how it is going.  I have been putting the chart onto the computer at the same time as stitching it because the chart is that big, it will get ripped to shreds if I don't and I won't be able to use it in the future.  Means my progress is a little bit slower, but my system is a brainwave that actually works!  Though, there was grumpiness with the software I was using because it kept telling me I didnt' have this or that when I had the most upto date versions of them.  Unfortunately, I can only work on this project when the girls are in bed because I am using my laptop for the chart and keeping them off my laptop and cross stitch wouldn't work, one would break.

And, here is a pic of my belly that i have been promising.  I look bigger than I thought, but I don't have a mirror that I walk past on a regular basis so I don't see my belly from afar! lol.  Just the top view!  We are around 22/23 weeks.  Will be starting the whole paperwork circus on 4th April!  Finally got another doc appt and I am keeping this one!  All good though, feels same as other 4!  Except for feeling and looking bigger! lol.

  yay!  That one worked too!  See, a bit of huff and puff and a few choice words at the computer, and I can figure it our for myself.  Process of illlimination with what I had to copy once uploaded.

There you have it!  My 2 big projects!  Which will be completed first I wonder?

I am trying to add my own photos to my blog that I have uploaded to minti already, because they wouldn't just upload from my desktop.  I have tried everything and I can't get it to work.  I keep getting told that the settings won't allow me to do it and I am really getting frustrated.

Everyone else is able to upload pics, and I am using gif files that should work!  I am so upset, and yeah, I am crying, because everyone else, including Les is able to get it right!  It is one of those days, but this has happened before and I gave up in the end last time too.  I cleared my cookies on Les' advice but that logged me out!  And as soon as I logged back in, the problem was still there!

I've been promising pics of my belly for a while now, and finally got one.  I also wanted to share with you the journey I am on with my newest cross stitch project, but I can't!

Hope you are all having a better day than me.  Think it is time for a smoke and some rest time (not much of that happening these days, workers are still going on the roof.)

My girls have just been watching Seasame Street on ABC1 (Australian TV) and they have had the cast of the Law and Order crews (from Channel 10 on Australian TY) doing special little segments about words and letters etc.  Still presented in the light of crime solving, just without the 'nasty' side of it.

Well, today, they took it one step further!  They didn't just have the actors, they had puppets of the actors!  And they were damned accurate as well!  Especially the one of Munch!  OMG!  It was so cool!  They were searching for the letter M and running the case like they would on SVU!

Just thought I would share my funny for the day!  Wish my video camera was working, 'cos then I would have YouTubed it for you all to see.

Les picked Ayla up from school today, as he normally does, and while we were sitting out the back having a ciggie break (trying to break the habit!), he tells me that there was a problem with Ayla at school today.

Uh-oh.  Did I really want to hear this?  Turns out that Ayla's teacher turned away from the group of kiddies cutting out paper shapes for about 10 seconds, and that when she turned around again, Ayla was trying to cut her hair!  Hhhhmmm, her and Willow have forced us to put all our scissors out of my reach, let alone theirs because of haircuts in the past, and they even tried to cut mine one day while I dozed on the couch.

Back to the point.  What on earth posessed my daughter to cut her own hair!  OMG!  How am I supposed to feel about that?  I didn't get angry with Ayla or the teacher, actually, I find it rarther amusing but appreciate the teacher did tell Les even though we don't consider it to be a crisis.

Any way, after our break, I came back in and had a look at Ayla's hair.  There are a few shorter bits, but not enough to draw attention to her activity.  Hhhhhhmmmm, me and my big mouth though!  She went to get into her after school clothes, some she had recieved for her birthday, and came back into the loungeroom bursting into tears.

Uh-oh.  What was up this time?  I asked her, and, I hope you are sitting down for this, she said through her tears 'I don't like that my teacher told Daddy that!' ROFL!  My precious baby was upset becuase the teacher told on her! lol.

I thought I would share that funny little story with you.  I know there will be many more funny things to come out of her mouth yet, as well as from her sisters.

Last day of school before the Easter long weekend, and not looking forward to 4 days of having Ayla home upsetting her sisters, still, can't send her to school on her own, poor school wouldn't be left standing!

A lot has happened over the last few days.  Don't know where to start, so will just dive in and have a ramble as my memory starts slugging me around the head again.

Saturday 15th March 2008 was  big day for us.  That was the day Ayla Rose Scammell turned 5 and I celebrated 5 years of being a mother.  I can't believe my baby is 5 already!  Please slow time down, I can't keep up!

Last week, I finally managed to get out of the house.  The first time in about 3 months.  Went nuts too.  Lots of shopping, finally had sushi for the first time in 4 years because of the new sushi bar!  Yay!  Got 2 computer games for less than the price of one, bonus!  Finished Ayla's birthday shopping, going overboard as usual!  Picked Ayla up from school, and scared the living daylights out of her as Les has been doing the school run and got the youngest 2's needles done, only about 4 months late! lol.

Over about 4 days of last week, we had package after package arrive.  I so have to lose the link to Deals Direct!  They are costing me a fortune! lol.  Loving it though and have gotten some really good stuff through them over the last couple of weeks.  The bird cage is something of a problem though.  I didn't think it would be that big or that unsuitable for budgies.  Oh well, cockatiels it is! lol.  The posty loves it when we buy big becuase he owns the contract for Australia Post home delivery here in Gympie, and we pay 1 staff members wage for a week when we go nuts.

We are getting a new roof!  Yay!  No more leaks to worry about.  Just the noise, they are working away at it as I type and if there are more spelling errors than normal, then I am sorry.  Going to take about  a week to do because they can't work when it is pelting down with rain.

I am still having the occassional 'green day' but managing to get things done around the house!  Woohoo!  Almost caught up on all the washing! lol.  My belly is growing fast and Puggle is certainly letting me know that I am not alone, never alone at the moment! lol.

All in all, we are well, happy and having a good time!  hope you all have a great week!

This flu bug is just hanging on! The girls seem to be over it now but Les and I are just getting hit with round after round of it.  The worst thing is, I can't take anything to help relieve the symptoms, and Les has to be careful what he takes because of the medication he is on (high blood pressure).  Even Acacia has been able to have medicine to help her!  Arrrggghhhh!  And to make it all worse for me, the change in seasons is bringing out new flowers so I have my seasonal hayfever too!

At the moment, I just feel as though my radiator is on constant boil and have a sinus related headache and aching all over.  Doesn't help when I go nuts and attack the washing mountain and strain all the muscles in my back again! lol.  Had to be done and just about all caught up on 3 months worth of washing!  Naughty me!

My belly is certainly not able to be hidden now, at all, and I am starting to go through my wardrobe and put away the clothes that no longer fit or very soon won't fit.  At least they are still in good condition even though some of them are 5+ years old!  Puggle is moving more and even had the hiccups today!  Very funny!

We bought a washing folding table through deals direct, and I don't recommend it.  The recommended retail price was over $100 but the stupid thing keeps falling apart.  Actually, last night while we were trying to wheel it back into the study, it not only came apart at the sides, but all the bits and bobs fell off too!  Now we are going to have to find another $50 or more to make it safe enough to use and keep it together!  Oh well, the offer was there for us to have it sent back and our money refunded, but I really can't be bothered waiting around for the courier or packing it all away again.  Like anyone keeps all the plastic bagging that comes with RTA furniture.  Anyhooo, Les and I ended up in giggles because of it all.  He put one part back together and the next came out.  Wish you could have all seen it!

I'm going to sign off for now.  i need to crash on the couch and wait for dinner.  Les is making a stew so should be yummy!

My cd/dvd-rom drive has been ruined! Why? Becuase my darling girls can't leave my computer alone!  Our set up in the lounge room (where my computer is so I can watch the girls better) is such that they shouldn't be able to get it to my desk.  Well, at least we thought so.  Our couches/chairs are lined up with a makeshift gate between them that should stop the Gremlins getting over and destroying my stuff!

Didn't work and now my rom drive won't read disks at all.  Not only that, but it is a battle to get it to stay closed becaus the girls have bent the springs inside with their brutal treatment!  Now, I can't play any of my games and it is really bugging me becuase I really wanted to get some of my characters in one game to the next Act.  Arrrgggghhhh!

I have asked Les to take the computer apart and give the rom drive a proper clean and try and reset the spring, which he said he would do after the girls were in bed.  Well, they are in bed, it is 11:30pm here, and he still hasn't done it!  And he still hasn't printed out the document I just asked him to print either.

What is it with men helping everyone around them and not their own partners!  I mean, I have asked him to show me how to install a certain software for my website about a million times, but has he done it yet?  Nope.  Is my site working the way I want it?  Nope.  Seems that his needs are more important and that mine are just trivial.  Oh, but if anyone calls and asks for his help, he is more than happy to spend hours fixing this and doing that for them.

I have spent the night working on my helium articles instead, and now have 11.  But I should be able to rely on Les to help me when there is something I can't do that I know he can help with! Yeah, that last graphic should sum it all up!  I'm going to quit my ranting now and find something else to do.
