Ok, I have not been on here for ages as stuff has been happening at home, and I have just been so exhausted!

Rylan is suspected of having autism, so there have been lots of doctor visits, and stupid paediatrician surveys and assessments.

Husband and I are in the process of separating.

Well Firstly, Happy Halloween to all!

Yesterday our squish decided to walk. He has been walking holding one hand for soooo long, and occasionally taking up to 7 steps alone but with encouragement... Yesterday he just kept walking. Everytime he fell down, he stood himself back up and walked more! It was so cool. He has also given up his dummy. It has been just over a week now and he is sleeping fine without it.

My boy is growing up.

oooh almost forgot.... our snake Emily laid eggs 2 days ago! Hooray!

 

We went for a stroll over town today to pick up something for Steve for our wedding anniversary coming up. I also went to drop off some more necklaces at the shop, and got the news that I have had my first sale! Finally! I am very happy with myself now and feel all professional! LOL

Well, for a little while now I have been making bead jewellery to pass the time while Rylan has his daytime nap. I started just making stuff for me, then for friends... and now I have a couple of pieces in a local store! I am also setting up an online gallery so I can sell more pieces. I don't make anything extravagant, just cute pretty necklaces so far.

Doing this has really boosted my self esteem, keeps me from getting bored, and hopefully will put a little extra cash into my wallet.

I still have not named 3 of our snakes, and someone suggested I put up a blog asking for suggestions. We have 5 Macs ( Eastern Small Blotched Pythons / Spotted Pythons ) and only 2 of them are named so far - Spencer and Emily. We still have to name 2 females and 1 male? Any suggestions?

 

Haven't written for ages! I still have not named the 3 new snakes. Steve got a Kakariki for fathers day... as far as birds go, it is the cutest thing ever!

Rylan is still not walking... We can get him to take a few steps occasionally, but he gets scared. Ry does occasionally stand up by himself though. This has only started in the last week. He just lets go of what he's holding onto for about a minute. It's so cute. He can stand himself up from sitting without using his hands now, and he gets so proud of himself, he laughs, then falls back down!

Not much else has happened lately.

Our new trio of Mac's arrived today! ( Eastern Small Blotched Pythons/Spotted Pythons). They are so cute. I love macs, my first ever pet snake was a mac. I haven't named them yet. Steve thinks it's silly to name snakes, but I think all pets should have names! There are 2 females and one male.

Today I got a bit of time to myself to work on my old hebel block carving. I have almost finished it now. I would like to do another one soon. I found it very theraputic with the music cranked up, making a huge mess in the backyard, singing and getting messy.

Yeah! I'm freakin awesome! LOL. I just got another lower lip piercing. I just got it done! yay! I am so happy! I am a piercing addict! I love the feeling of a new metallic facial adornment! Not too keen on the ouchies though, but it's worth it cos I look like I rock now! Getting a new piercing or tattoo is like the ultimate boost in self esteem for me. weirdo, eh? When the swelling goes down I will put a pic up. I look forward to you not seeing how awesome I am soon!

Well, last week for the first time Rylan walked alongside me just holding one hand... Before that he would only walk holding both hands, and get scared and cry if you tried to let go of his hand.

Since then, he wants to walk everywhere, but just holding one hand. He laughs while he's walking like he can't believe what he's doing! On the weekend I thought I'd try putting his push along bus in front of him. I stood him up, put his hands on the handle, and off he went! He loves it. He zooms around the place, until he hits a wall and I have to redirect him. It's so cute!

Lately he has just done so many new, crazy and cute things. It makes me so happy I get to see him learning these things, pulling new faces, playing new games...
