Grateful my son still alive

Comment Published at 17:2217:224 comments4 comments32 Visits32 VisitsReport
Well I am trying to look at the positive in this remember but all was a bit hectic yesterday. Can't explain too much now as time is limited but my sons Nik and Mark were supposed to stay at there dads a couple days as Mark had cricket training but he sent them home yesterday. I was at work so they let them selves in and they turned on the heater. All of Kiza's royal show stuff I had thrown in a basket in front of the heater for him to take upstairs. They did not think to move it and there was a can of deoderant in there. Anyway the can exploded and it smashed the lounge window which is huge and the kitchen window. All the side of my lounge is burnt out and the stuff in the basket too. They got the fire out and I have put garbage bags on to keep the weather out and my dear friend Jim is going to get me some glass today and replace it. The boys were lucky that they were not killed but last night was a bit sleepless with no security. The dog kept jumping through the lounge window to run around yesterday. Anyway, I just couldn't believe that he would not use his head like that. You can imagine I was not too happy. Hope everyone has a great week. Thank you all for your comments. It is a great idea to start a gratefulness group I think as someone said. Someone is looking out for my family I am sure.

OMG This is what I worry about if I have to work outside school hours when I have teenagers! No more childcare for them at that age but they can't be responsible because these things happen.  So glad they are ok, it must have been terrifying for you!

boys don't have brains.  Ok, so they are between their legs.  doesn't get any better just 'cos they get older either!  My partner 51 and acts 15 sometimes!

glad not too much damage done.  Must have been scary though.  Bet they got the fright of their lives! lol.

It sounds like the dog had fun too! lol.  No walks that day, just jumps training! lol

Hope it gets better for you soon.   They sound like a handful, even though they are nearly grown up.

That was so lucky. I'm glad your kids are alive too, and nothing too serious was done.
