Re: My dad
im glad you enjoyed your fathers day
we started the morning with the tradional fathers day brekky bacon eggs muffins taost and coffee hubby stayed in bed "traditional' but i had made him 2 coffees earlier he gets up 6am rain or shine and has his smoko.
he "climbed" back into bed at 8am so the boys and i could serve him his brekky. very relaxing morning
then i went to mums on my way i went to the cemetary first. i lit the karvounaki with the incence someone had already lit the kandilaki. and i was deep in my thoughts.
i went to mums who had been to church and recoverying from a cold. we went to the cemetary again this time for mum and i stayed for coffee and left.
this is my third fathers day without dad and it doesnt get easier.
these are the moments that i miss the most
mum is now approaching 90 . i marvel more and more as days go by. she is amazing. even though she has lived a very hard life and reared 6 children she still lives alone. shops goes to church and never complains and i mean never. dad and her never had a car or luxuries.
its moments like these that you will treasure im glad your day went well
hugs and kisses
