Pics on the weekend

by August88Comment Published at 18:2218:225 comments5 comments52 Visits52 VisitsReport
Well the weekend going fine. We went to the movies Friday night and watched "Good Luck Chuck". Pretty funny. Warning there is a lot of sex scenes in it if you take your kids. LOL. On the way to basketball took some photos of the kids playing around in the park.

They lost there game but then we went to Perth to pick up there little brother from the bus and Nik got $20 from my mum so we went shopping to skunk wear and he bought some rings. This is the photo I took of them both last night.Nik wanted photos of himself to send to his friends. He must have a hundred silly faces trying to look tough. Boys! Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I am hoping to get a rest day today though I am doing the Sunday roast and driving Mark back home.

Exhausting day

by August88Comment Published at 16:2416:242 comments2 comments20 Visits20 VisitsReport
I have had a busy and productive week which is good. Everything seemed to be happening at once. After my car was serviced on the weekend I rang my friend back as oil was in my driveway so he asked me to come back Wednesday and he would clean the engine and find the leak. Anyway got off early that day just by coincidence. It turned out it was just oil he had spilt on it but my tyres needed  changing right away so got 2 new ones fitted.

Then yesterday had hospital appointment so only went to work in the morning til 10.30am. On the way home stopped to pay bills then the school rang and needed me to fill out a form for Nik to do his apprentiship so had to go there on the way to the hospital. Before leaving I checked the mail and had a letter that my parenting payment had been suspended as I hadn't provided some information that I had to get from the accountant. So off to the school then the hospital with mum and dad and Nik. We had some lunch there. Basically she just gave me an internal and she could feel the cyst and I was booked in for a laparoscopy in April next year. Big word is key hole surgery to remove it.

On the way back called in to accountant who advised me to give them my income history or to come back if that didn't work. Mum and dad left then went to centrelink but of course this is not what they want after waiting around for half an hour that I have to rush back to accountant. She draws me up a profit and loss statement which I have to take in today now.

Then went late night shopping. I bought a camera at Target on  30/9 however it took about 5 photos now wont turn on. I take it in to Target and she says I need to bring it in business hours EST. Great them are the hours I work. I ask if she can ring Kodak for me and sort it so I can come in after work on Thursday again. Anyway she has my number and I have there numbers so this is going to have to be done over the phone.

Then I went to Harvey Norman and bought a microwave. My kitchen then had to be cleaned thoroughly last night. LOL.
The boys had there eye on buying some speakers for the computer but we couldn't work out how that could be done with it in the lounge so they set about moving the computer to the top of the stairs. It was fun working out where the cords will go. Now we don't have to worry about the DVD and T.V interferring with the computer when they want to listen to music. Well I did say it was a long day and now got to get to work. No more early days for a while. Hope I can find the time to get to centrelink today.

Went to sexpo last night

by August88Comment Published at 20:0120:017 comments7 comments65 Visits65 VisitsReport
It was a fun and entertaining night. We got some showbags and cheap goodies and went on the gerbal sex train ride which scared the pants off me. LOL. It was a bit like a ghost ride. I laughed all night, it was just a light hearted fun night you know. They had little shows with bad boyz strippers and they even got people from the public to get up there and strip though why you would want to do that beats me. They were sure braver then me. There was even a stand there with some herbal things so we tried some of it. I think it had a bit of an effect. I was certainly feeling good. Anyhow that was my excitement for the week.

The rest of the week went as usual. I am settling in to my job. Getting the routine worked out and feeling much more at home there. It is so busy now with working full time that unfortunately I have been getting into the habit of too much fast food or convenience stuff in freezer so am planning to get my meal plans ready today. The kids lost there basketball game yesterday then I dropped them at there dads after that. They were happy because they were going to go to some family reunion.

Oh and Nik went to school on Wednesday and filled out an application to go to silver trowel so as of the 29th he will be doing plastering. On Thursday my appointment is coming up for my biopsy so will take the day off for that and my mum will be coming with me. So life is sailing on and I am hoping Nik hasn't dropped out of school too early but I guess he can always go back next year if things don't work out.

Great weekend

by August88Comment Published at 08:0108:014 comments4 comments11 Visits11 VisitsReport
Just wanted to say the weekend was brilliant. It has been so hot so after basketball on Saturday I made a salad, got out the meat and we headed to Scarborough beach for the arvo. It was packed but once we found a parking spot all the kids had a ball. Kiza went off with his mates from there to stay with his friend but the other 5 had lots of fun. Then today after running around this morning to get extra ram put in the computer from my friend then we took the kids to the pool. I spent the first half an hour doing laps. I did 1000m or 20 laps which I wanted to achieve then James and I had coffee and the kids went on the water slides for a couple hours.

So great weekend and have been watching some documentary series that I have all on DVD. They are 7UP, 7+7, 21UP, 28UP, 35UP, 42UP and 49UP. I would recommend if you like these kinds of study on people. They take a group of children at 7 then interview them then catch up with them throughout there lives. They are from all different backgrounds etc. I have just finished watching 28UP and so far it is very interesting and you really get to know each character.

Windows fixed.

by August88Comment Published at 17:3317:331 comments1 comments10 Visits10 VisitsReport
Well it has been an interesting week but yesterday Jim came and fixed my windows and now I have lovely clean windows. I have found a much better product then windex although a little more expensive. lol. Well you have to laugh or else you may cry. Since thursday we only had garbage bags across which was dangerous but I rang my brother as he works with wood so he came over on Saturday and put some board on my windows which was much safer and warmer. Lucky the weather has not been too bad here these last few days. The dog was so funny as he was jumping in and out of the window on the first day until it was boarded then yesterday Jim fixed the window then a while later I came to the drive way and the dog ran up and hit the window full speed. It was lucky it didn't smash again. Very scary but we all laughed so hard after. He isn't the smartest dog in the world but we love him. He was supposed to go back this month but the court case was postponed for November 5th.

Anyway the rest of the weekend was fine. It was great to catch up with my brother. We were watching a bit of Bathhurst but he is a ford supporter so the boys were dogging him but they won the next day anyway. Then Jim came over to do the measuring and stayed for dinner. I ran him home and then the next day had to drop Nik and Mark off at there dads 7.30am on a Sunday as Mark plays cricket. AArrgh. I thought that it was over but it has gone from footy to cricket. lol. Well that is about all. They are staying with there dad all week so at least my house can't get blown up again while I am at work and hopefully they stay safe there.

Grateful my son still alive

by August88Comment Published at 17:2217:224 comments4 comments25 Visits25 VisitsReport
Well I am trying to look at the positive in this remember but all was a bit hectic yesterday. Can't explain too much now as time is limited but my sons Nik and Mark were supposed to stay at there dads a couple days as Mark had cricket training but he sent them home yesterday. I was at work so they let them selves in and they turned on the heater. All of Kiza's royal show stuff I had thrown in a basket in front of the heater for him to take upstairs. They did not think to move it and there was a can of deoderant in there. Anyway the can exploded and it smashed the lounge window which is huge and the kitchen window. All the side of my lounge is burnt out and the stuff in the basket too. They got the fire out and I have put garbage bags on to keep the weather out and my dear friend Jim is going to get me some glass today and replace it. The boys were lucky that they were not killed but last night was a bit sleepless with no security. The dog kept jumping through the lounge window to run around yesterday. Anyway, I just couldn't believe that he would not use his head like that. You can imagine I was not too happy. Hope everyone has a great week. Thank you all for your comments. It is a great idea to start a gratefulness group I think as someone said. Someone is looking out for my family I am sure.

Working in the school holidays

by August88Comment Published at 07:0007:005 comments5 comments26 Visits26 VisitsReport
Not too much fun. I swear I am going to have at least 3 weeks holidays at Christmas time as I really don't enjoy shipping my kids around. But on a good note we had a public holiday this weekend gone and Nik and I went to my parents for a couple of days. Kieron had been saving up to go to the show with his mates and he bought so much showbags and won a huge teddy and had a great time. He is at Silver Trowel this holidays for his course part so he doesn't have as long days. He actually gets home before me most days. Mark is going back to his dad tomorrow and Nik will have to go with him on the bus as I won't get back in time for his cricket. This is what I hate. They will stay with there dad for a couple days at least but he is working too.
Nik is not moving in with his dad now next term so I must think of a plan for next term. He will be 15 then so he may be able to go to silver trowel too. I am not too keen on him going to school. His dad said it would be too much for him and that I should seriously consider changing my hours to be there for Nik. In other words I should not be working like we don't need a roof over our head. It doesn't go down too well when it comes from him as I am very bitter. I feel bad enough about it myself but I won't take it from him. He makes me so mad. I never got one bit of help from him when the kids were younger. I try not to say bad things of him as he is at least trying to get his act together now and help with the kids but he is still so selfish and I guess my memory is longer then his. Anyway that is as far as I go with this blog as I am feeling very sorry for myself tonight. I don't know if I will ever see a light in this tunnel. I want to be able to see the good and just be happy. I should be grateful for all I have. Maybe I should start a gratefulness diary. I saw it on Oprah once and it really changed peoples lives. Just write 2 things that you are grateful for in the day. Let"s see....
1. Mark and Nik cleared the table and cooked the meat tonight.
2. I got up so early this morning I had time to wash and vaccuum the car and have a capaccino at McDonalds before work.
I am very thankful for this. Wow. You should try it. I do actually feel better that I saw the good things. Sometimes the good things pass me by. Must thank my boys now as I am quick to tell them when they do something to annoy me yet I had to think to see what was it they did good. LOL. Must get off to bed.
