Well here goes. My first entry and what a big week. I am so glad it is the weekend. Before I take my son to basketball then drop him at the train to go to his dads I want to write a little about my week. Seem to be having a lot of little arguments with my 14 year old because I feel like he expects to get everything his own way and he is not doing his share so yesterday after a particularly bad one I had to remove myself from the house and go for a walk to calm down. I took some time off work on Tuesday to take him to the dentist and when I arrived and he was already out side on detention and the angry science teacher turned to me and said she wondered why he came as he only disrupted the whole class I saw that his attitude is just the same to her as it was to me. Very embarrasing. But he started wagging last year and he has to go to school. I got a letter to say that if his attendance didn't improve I would be fined $1000 but when he is forced to go to school he is disrupting everyone and he is not handing in work.
My 16 year old has moved back in this week too. He was living with his dad for the last 3 years but they are no longer getting along so he arrived with his suitcase. So far the boys are getting along well as a matter of fact Nik has calmed down with his older brother here. I am wondering if I can cope with 2 teenagers though but I wouldn't turn my own son away.
My oldest went for an interview on Thursday as he doesn't want to stay on at school. It is for an apprentiship as a bricklayer. He is still working at red rooster but the distance to that job and his old school is too far and he reckons he was failing his TEE. He has his learners permit so I let him have a little drive the other day but he couldn't get the hang of the clutch so wasn't confident enough to go far with my car. I will have to get him some lessons first as I am not confident enough either.
