Rules of the tag

1. Link to the person that tagged you

2. Post the rules on your blog

3. Share 6 unimportant things/ habits/ quirks about you

4.Tag 6 random people at the end of your blog by linking to there blogs

5. Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on there website.

Are you ready?

Here are 6 things you may not know about me:

1. I was born in the kimberley town of Wyndham W.A and lived up there for all of my childhood. This is why I like the outdoors I think as we did a lot of camping and fishing and hiking. It was a great lifestyle and I would love to go back up north to holiday again one day.

2. I love swimming. I was in swimming clubs growing up but now I still love the water and still do a lot of it in summer. We are going to the pool this arvo actually.

3. I love reading. I like going to the library and actually like the non-fiction type though, biographies and life issues which is why I like take 5 and That's Life magazines too. It has to be a really good fiction to get me in as there is too much to learn from real life situations.

4. I knit and do puzzles. Though knitting is a winter activity and haven't had time in the last couple of years. I used to knit some newborn jackets for the guardian chemists as they send them to third world countries if anyone has a moment.

5. I love walking. I may only stroll around but I do like walking around the neighbourhood and it is a great stress reliever.

6. I like silence. Though I like music what people find funny about me is that when I am home alone I like to turn everything off and have peace and quiet. I am sitting in silence at this very moment. Lovely. lol

Well hope you have found something interesting in what I have wrote. Have a lovely day. I shall tag:

MrMikeys mum, Julielf, ellamia, Kellzacar, Cazza and boredmum.

I've got to learn to say no

I said yes to working this weekend but I wish I didn't now. My usual problem. lol
Anyway the weekend has been busy but still good. On Friday night I met James in town after work and we had coffee. Then we decided to try the new underground train, for something different to do. We went to Canning bridge stop then decided to go for a little walk along the river back into town. We didn't realise it was quite that far and it took nearly 2 hours but it was a good night out. I stayed over there and helped him set up a bar he had delivered in the morning before I went to work at 2pm til 7pm.

We then planned to meet friends out for dinner at an Indian restaurant in South Perth. It was a great night, but when I got home from work my son had arrived from his dad's so I decided to come straight back. The restaurant was so nice but very hot food. We all had coffee after and walked along the river again. The couple we went with were lovely and so funny so we had a really good evening and we came back to my house to spend the morning with Nik and Mark. He will be here til Tuesday though I am working. In the holidays the kids are just lobbing up when they want to. I am about to take him out for lunch soon to spend some time til I go to work at 2 til 7pm again. No rest for the wicked. Won't plan any work again over the holidays on weekends. Anyway am going to go out to lunch with the boys now. Hope everybody enjoys there weekend.

My son's car

by August88Comment Published at 19:1219:127 comments7 comments23 Visits23 VisitsReport
My son bought a Toyota Camry 87 model. He had to buy new tyres straight away. He bought it for $500. He can't drive it yet as the muffler must be fixed too. There are some things to be done but he has til March when he turns 17 as we are filling out the log book, mainly in my car, then he can get his P plates and I don't have to give him my car to drive.  His car has done less miles then mine though. I have to start saving to upgrade mine now, though I love my Toyota, I have a Corolla but I will need a newer model soon. Mine has done over 300,000kms.

Just back from the hospital

Unreal, 2 blogs in one day but I decided I wanted some exercise at 5pm and we live opposite the skate park so I say who wants to come? Mark grabs his skate board. we are there for less then 2 minutes and he comes down the half pike and lands on his head then thumps his forehead too. He is a little dizzy and has blurred vision. I ring the doctor just closing but they say go to the hospital as he could have concussion. Lucky for us it isn't too busy tonight. He is fine now but he was not breathing properly etc but he got upset so that was probably the reason. Anyway better to be safe. How annoying, I was looking forward to that exercise. Will start tomorrow after work. lol

My son just got his log book

by August88Comment Published at 16:2716:272 comments2 comments48 Visits48 VisitsReport
Has been an early morning. The appointment was for 7.55am but this was his first test and needed no lessons as he has been driving his bosses work ute around all year. I can't take the credit for teaching him, I used to kiss the ground on getting out of the car to start with. lol No seriously the instructor was happy and quite surprised it was his first lesson. He is quite a competent driver. He doesn't turn 17 til March so heaps of time to get the log book filled out.

The new year was good. I went to work Monday but we stayed home for the night. We are right near the river so could see the fireworks. Actually the fireworks last night were much more spectacular. They scared me when they first started. We had no idea they were going to be on. Walked up the road and it was packed. Will know for next year. It was a beautiful night too. My other son is going out with the girl next door now. She is 17. Now the fun begins. Hope everyone had a happy new year!
