Light at the end of the tunnel?

Comment Published at 14:5314:5315 comments15 comments79 Visits79 VisitsReport

For the last two days JB has eaten every meal!! Including fish two days ago, chicken sticks yesterday and most of his spaghetti today .YIPEEEEE!!!  I really hope he is turning the corner and is over his throwing up! We did get a referral from our GP to see a speech therapist to see what they have to say about his eating problem, we are just waiting for the appointment to come through. He has put on 3lbs in the last 2 weeks so that is great news for us... but it means I really notice the difference now when holding him for any length of time!

This is great!! That's a big meal...maybe he's making up for the ones he lost.

Does your son need speech therapy? Seems strange to see a speech therapist for his eating problems... but then again what do I know.

Hope everything is well now!

Thanks Jenny

I kinda feel like a fake now seeing the specialist when i am sure he will eat everything for them  Hopefully it will give me some hints and tips in case he decides not to eat again..

Me too! He is even signing to me that he is hungry, something he never did before!

Enjoy your weekend!

That is great news Lorna, you must be very relieved.  I imagine that James must be much happier too, and will have a lot of fun discovering all the fun foods he can eat, and the lazy feeling of a nice full tummy.

JB musta had a light bulb moment and realized it was better to eat the stuff than throw it up!  And broccoli?  OMG Harrison shoves anything with green in it away!  Good Job JB!

Oh Lorna, that is great. Lets hope that he is coming around and will continue to eat like a big boy!  And dont' stress if he has bad days, just so long as he is moving in the right direction.  3 lbs in 2 weeks...wow.  I think Harrison is putting on weight overnight!  He feels so heavy when I go into in now that he is well.  Eating like a horse and gaining weight too.

Take care,

Angela

That is great, I am glad he is eating again for you. Isn't it horrible when they keep throwing it all back up?

Thanks Leisa

I am so proud of him! It is awful to see him throw up and I am sure it can't be enjoyable for him either!
