Following JB's swallow test today, thankfully everything is normal! He is chewing and swallowing as he should, the gagging and throwing up is just behavioural. According to the nurse he is just being stubborn about what he eats and what he doesn't! I must admit he has got better this week, he ate half a cheese scone yesterday and is now eating cherrios. Just got to get him to eat more foods with different textures.

Well JB had the EEG today, it was touch and go as to whether it would happen today as he has had a runny nose since yesterday, but on examination the nurse said his chest is clear and we could go ahead. I think he has a runny nose because he is getting two molars in the bottom jaw and another two coming in up top. 

The EEG was not as bad as I thought it was going to be (I have written more in the advice section) but I am glad for JB's sake that it is all over. I just hope that he is okay and the tests come back normal and say it is behavioural.. time will tell. It seems all we do is spend time in Drs offices or hospital at the moment, I was told on Friday I have endrometriosis, James has a swallow test next monday .. I think he may have to have a hearing and speech test (apparently ordered by his DR but why I do not know!!) I am hoping this is linked to the swallow test? The first I heard of this test was in a letter from our insurers to say it had been approved!!  Hopefully we will return to some kind of normality after next week.. I forgot how much I dislike being in hospitals!

Well we got James' blood test results back today, they were wonderful! Liver functions very well, the yellowing of his skin is likely to be due to the carotine in his veg dishes. This was such a relief for us, I had a sleepless night last night worrying about him.

As for the epilepsy, the Dr thinks it sounds very much like this is what James has. She is referring us to a neurologist and for some further tests (EEG I think) to make sure. James also had 5 shots today ... we decided to go ahead with the MMR.

Well we had our nutritionist appointment today mainly due to James' weight dropping off and his refusing to eat foods with lumps. From his food diary he is getting all the nutrition he needs, he is being referred for a swallowing test just to ensure that there is no medical reason why he cannot swallow lumps. Not really sure what the test involves yet, but hopefully the Dr will tell us more tomorrow. It is a relief in some respects knowing that he is eating enough veg and fruits etc, I just think he takes after his Mom who is also a fussy eater.
