Hi I'm Cynthia, nice to meet you all. I live in Tropical North Queensland, it's so beautiful up here. I have a 7 years old daughter, Rebekah. She is my whole life, she means everything to me and she have blonde hair, blue eyes as you may see in some photos. I''m very protective of her, I worried everytime she falls or get hurt and when some strangers come near her I bring her closer to me. I was a single mother and have raised her on my own for 6 years and 10 months. My mum was there with me when I gave birth to Rebekah through caesarean while I was awake because I wanted to see my baby when she born (Rebekah was in breach position and wouldn''t move, she was so comfortable that way). Rebekah started walking when she was 10 months 3 weeks, as soon as she does she was toilet training until few months before she turned 2 to be toilet trained. Her dad visit her sometimes and spend time with her when she was toddler, and still does visit her over the weekend. Her father, Steven and I have been good friends until September 2006 we got back together and are very happy. Rebekah has improved alot since Steven and I got together and she is very much happier.

I'm glad I found Minti, I got email from a friend and immediately I joined it and emailed my sister about it, she joined it too. I like to read advices they helped a alot. Also I love to look at all the photos, the children are beautiful especially babies and stories and getting to know minti friends.

I love being a mum and I would love to have another child. All I do is give lots of love, time and energies, teach her about everything from right and wrong. What every parents do.  I love watching her learn new things and I am amazed at what she teach me. Also I couldn''t do without "I love you, mum". My biggest parenting challenge is to be positive and raise my daughter to be a beautiful, caring, loving and good person. I had a safe yet uncomfortable pregnancy which was a shock in itself, then to have a newborn to care for and illness to deal with - which wasn''t that easy. It was hard at first when I found out she was asthmatic at 2 years old, but I dealt with it and looked after her very well. She only had 3 asthma attack and end up in hospital 3 times when she was 2 and 3 years old. Now for 3 years she hasn''t had an attack, she only gets it seasonal (when rain is about to come, she gets wheezing and when its so cold in winter she gets wheezing). Rebekah runs around alot and that helps also swimming as well but sometimes I still worrys alot and always keeping eyes on her. I make sure she realise I am the parent, the boss. My girl says "I don''t like you" when she doesn''t get her own way. I can''t take this personally especially since she will say "You are the best Mummy" much more often.

Rebekah''s first word was "Mummy" then "Daddy" then "Bugger" when she tried to say her own name. I laughed my head off when she said that word and thought it was beautiful. She makes me laugh I couldn''t count how many times, she''s a funny girl and full of energies. She loves to sing, she is always singing, she talks to barbies and Bratz especially anything. I love watching her doing what she does to entertain herself even looking at herself in the mirror singing and talking.
