Me and My Family

at our engagement
Hello,

My family consists of the newlyweds - my husband and I and our 18month old puppy Chevi and of course our little bump or as we call it - our bella baby. (thanks for the name Jodie :) I turned 28 the day before our wedding and my husband James will be 27 in March. Bella baby is due on the 12th of July 2007 so we will have a little Cancerian bub :)

My hubby and I recently got married in Perth WA on the 30th of September which just happened to be AFL grandfinal day - heaven forbid. We honeymooned in Phuket for a week, not nearly long enough for my liking but just long enough it seems to come home with a little bella in the oven....lol

well it's been ages since my last blog and I'm now 22 weeks.  god time flies.

I've been really busy lately now that i'm feeling fantastic, and have been babysitting and getting our house organised in a big way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  The nesting phase has definately begun.  I've even had thoughts about ripping up carpet and sanding floorboards to repainting the entire house.  James has done a few trips to the tip with full ute loads of rubbish and stuff i've gotten rid of but it feels good to be organised.

Well we've picked out the colour for the nursery walls - Porters White Clay.  It's a gorgeous warm white that will work well with pretty much any colour and is neutral enough to be a study when the bub grows out of the nursery.  The decorating is soooooo much fun and I've been on ebay finding bargains.  I managed to pick up a shabby chic , cane rocking chair for $20 so I'm totally stoked with that.  I'm going to restore it and get a new seat cushion so it will be gorgeous and practical.

Anyway I'm spending my day today planting in the garden. I bought loads of potted colour at bunnings yesterday and some marked down port wine magnolia's for only $5.  I'm truely becoming a bargain hunter...lol it's a new experience for me.  I'm planting in between little rain showers but the pink daisy's look lovely in our little cottage garden so it's worth getting a bit muddy for.

Well I best get back to it - cya

Decisions Decisions

Hello,

it's been a little while between blogs because I have been feeling a bit crappy the last couple of weeks.  My constant headaches haven't been helping me and hubby and I have some big decisions to make in regards to moving town.  It's all just a bit stressfull but I'm sure we will work it out. Plus my legs have started to ache at night making my sleep less restfull - god i'm a whinger...lol

Thanks to everyone who gave advice on the headache remedy's - i'm heading to the chemist today to pick  up a migrastick and the accupressure is working well also.

I've been putting together a list of things I need before the baby arrives and it's just mind boggling really...lol  Such a little person needs soooooooooo much stuff.  Then when I thought I had it all down pat my girlfriend who has a son reminded me that I would also need a whole host of things such as breast pads, nipple cream and nighties etc.......................................  it never ends   lol

If anyone knows where i can get a planner or list of things to purchase please let me know as it would be much appreciated

Husbands and airconditioners just don't mix

Comment Published at 00:3800:380 comments0 comments21 Visits21 VisitsReport
Hello hello,

Why is it, that when men get an idea in their heads they cannot function until they have dealt with it?

Take for example my lovely husband.  Our aircon starting making strange noises a few days ago and we knew that someone needed to look at it but James said he would organise a tradesman in the next few days.  Then as soon as I went off to work he gets up on the roof ( we don't own a ladder - so he used a plastic table for leverage) and has a little gander at the offending airconditioner.

On realising that he couldn't fix the problem then and their he decided to get down and climbed onto our old rickety pergola and proceeded to fall off the roof landing smack bang onto the plastic table and fair on his back.

He's lucky he's not in a wheelchair at this very moment.....  In typical james fashion he refused to see a doctor and  has gone off to work ........   MEN!

After speaking to his mum today who is quite concerned about him, and quite rightly so, i've booked him into the doctor for tomorrow - much to his disgust.

As i've always told James, I didn't marry him for his handyman skills so hopefully next time he'll leave it to a professional - and pigs might fly.

bye peoples

Back to reality

Hello all,

well i'm back from gorgeous esperance feeling refreshed and fabulous.

I really wish my hubby could have come along, he would have had a ball being the beach babe that he is.  Mum and I went out to eleven mile beach and found a stunning lagoon between the beach and the reef which was crystal blue, as calm as a pool and quite deep close to the shore. We basically stepped off the rocks and were in paradise.  I am really scared of the deep ocean, I have a morbid fear of sharks - ridiculous I know!

Anyway it was totally kid friendly which was perfect for a chicken like me and it was really hot and the southern ocean was freezing, so it worked well.  Esperance turned on the charm for us - it was picture post card beautiful at every beach, you would never have known that a couple of weeks before they had a huge storm go through & have been declared a disaster zone.

James was very proud to know that I totally submerged myself and floated around without scanning the water for fins the whole time.  I guess thats progress.

I have been looking after my cousins daughter for the last couple of days which has been so much fun.  I have even been watching Bindi Kidfit - and it's not bad exercise let me tell ya - especially for a preggers chicken like me.  Anyway it keeps me out of trouble and she really is no trouble at all.

well I better get back to my domestic duties - my hubby is vacuuming so that's telling me something...lol
