I have a 10yr old son David,from a previous relationship.  I was a single mother for 6yrs until I met my amazing husband Chris. 

It had to be fate, the way we met.  We went to the same highschool for about 6months but didnt meet, we had the same friends at different times but didnt meet, we even hung out at the same places but didnt meet, he even lived in the house directly behind me but we still didnt meet!  We actually met through work, I was the receptionist at a hotel and he was the linen delivery guy and one day he asked me out.  I found out he lived behind me when my grandmother said "I think that's Christian..... honey..... he's married!"  I thought "that would be right" I had a terrible history with picking losers so we devised a plan to let me know if it was the same guy. 

My grandma was going to answer the door when he came to pick me up and if it was the same guy she was going to say really loudly, so i could hear her up the hall "Oh hello Christian, nice to see you again"  So I was hiding in my bedroom and I heard the code words and my heart sunk as my temper soared.  I got in the car with him not really knowing what to do about it, so I just blurted it out, in a fashion that has been my trademark for yrs.  "So....." I said "I hear you come with a wife?"  He stumbled, blurted, and made some sounds that I wasnt even sure were human before he finally told me that, yes, he was married but they were broken up and living separately for the last 6months.  "PHEW!"  I thought!thank god Im not a home wrecker. 

I was a little worried that he would go back to her and sort things out but, what can I say, from the first time we went out together we didnt go one day without seeing each other for about 6months.  He proposed after 3months and  we decided to move to qld together.

I say it was fate because out of all the times we could have met, we didnt meet until it was the right time in our lives to handle and nuture the kind of love we had for one another (insert girly crying here)

So now we have moved back to regional NSW and are living happily ever after with our big kid and now our little kid.
