Update re weight loss and Anti depressants

Comment Published at 23:0123:013 comments3 comments28 Visits28 VisitsReport

Well, I googled the effexor xr and it was all negative. It got me down even more. Specially the forums. I haven't encountered that kind of negativity for quite a few years. They didn't offer any solutions or any form of encouragement. I felt like crying, still feel like it. Thank God for Minti and the wonderful people here and the support you all give. That was last night. I just made an appointment with my Doc but it's not until the end of May. So I'm gonna persereve with the exercise and hope that it works. At least exercise makes feel happy, even if it is a little painful, well it can be pretty painful but I'm so use to the pain that I guess it doesn't register that I'm in pain until it's really bad. I'm also going to re evalute what I eat.

On a happy note I was getting my girls ready for school yesterday, they wanted to wait for the bus early, I said with out thinking anyone would think you love school. The reply I got was yes mum we love school!

Thanks for all your advice and support Minti world!

Re: Update re weight loss and Anti depressants

walking and excercise help because they release the endorfins in the brain .

bananas are great to eat because they have the same effect

if im not mistaken anti depressants try to synthesis these endorfins but natural is alawys the best than artificial thats why a lot of medications dont work they have too many side effects and at the end you have other problems

mum sufferes from arthritis and she was taking tablets for it she was in a lot of pain as she has worked very ahrd and she is 89. another doc had prscribed them. her doc said to her if you keep taking them on a regular basis like that you will bleed from an ulcer. then i would have to try to cure your ulcer but even worse that an ulcer is fatal and she could have bled to death! in other words if you cant cure the cause then there is no point in creating more causes!!!

in extreme cases people do need to take them but sitting outside is much better for you. if its cold draw open the blinds anfd let the sun in and sit by the window. listen to the birds. watch the world observe that single cloud in the sky dancing

so many things . go for a small walk up to the corner and back! smell a flower in someones garden resist the temptation to pick it ! leave it for others to smell and enjoy!!!

Re: Update re weight loss and Anti depressants

heya.

Yeah the anti deps are very depressive when you look things up about them. when I spoke to a mates mum about the ones I am on and what she told me made me sick to my tummy (thus why I am comming off them)

If there is a way of counciloring and a support network I would go for that if you can. Thats what I am doing.

Sadly I cant do a heap of exercise due to knee problems so I just sit outside.

Good luck with your Doc app. I hope it goes well for you.

If ya ever want someone to chat to send me a message. :)

Re: Update re weight loss and Anti depressants

Thanks! Those forums are just awful! I didn't expect from the beginning that anti depressants would be great, but the depression and anxiety were worse then the meds for the them. I get it won't be easy comming off them but having gone thru street drug withdrawals I know I can do it. I'm not afraid, alittle worried that I might crash without them but I've got great support this time round ( I didn't have when I gave drugs) and hubby said I can smoke if it helps me get off the meds. I'll leave it as a last resort tho. I've taken it up and quit a few times. It get easier each time I quit but I don't like it.
