Back from the doc's

Dean had an appointment today to see the doctor , as it was injection time again for 4 months. l had never had this doctor before as she was new to the clinic, but she was wonderful.....she gave him the once over checking his temp and lungs. His cold  - is teeth related she said but its slight bronchitis and she said just to keep an eye on him ...if he goes off his food or has trouble breathing. She check his temp just to make sure but it was normal. The rash on his face is eczema and it cause by his dribbling, his spilt does it...she said there is nothing to treat this and just to keep on doing what l am doing, if it does end up bothering him to bring him back and she will try to find the right treatment for his skin. His injections where done and he only cryed for about 30 secs and then start laughing at the sister and being cheeky blowing bubbles and bouncing. Next injectins are in 2 mnths time when he is 6 months in October.

Hugs xxoo

Re: Back from the doc's

Sounds like he is doing well.  Teething is the pits, but it has to be done.  Needles, I got butchered the other day too, so know how the little man feels!  Unlike him, I didn't then laugh at the nurse! lol.

You could try lanolin on his face for the rash.  It will provide a barrier against dribble etc.

Re: Back from the doc's

Hi Kellz,

Thanks for the link about eczema...it was very helpful. The doc was great hope to see her again, she even gave me a presciption for my mini pill as l was running out and she did it without an appointment for myself....not many would do that now without and appointment, she just opened my file on the pc and took my blood pressure.

Re: Back from the doc's

Hey Heather glad Dean went well with his injections and hope his bronchitis settles soon. I have had it twice in a month i hated it. I hate it when babies are sick i just want to cuddle them all day so that they know i am ther with them and not going to leave them. If he has excema try getting some derma aide cream the milder one it is rea;ly good for excema and dry skin too, i use it on my kids when they have dry skin on fave and when cody gets his exma on his cheeks from using just a liitle bit too much pea nut butter on his toast etc... but it clears up really fast.

I will hope to chat again to you soon i think of you every day and wonder if you are going well. I am going good and strong as ever.

Hugs Michelle p.s Dean has grown heaps i cant believe he is 4 montrhs already.

Re: Back from the doc's

Hi Michelle,

Thanks for suggesting the cream, l might give it a go....l will try anything t help it clear up abit ....sme days he is so dark and ther days he just loks really dry and light pink.

l cant wait fr it to fully shake ut of his system, still eatting well and playing, chatting and being his cheeky self....so it really is nly weak.

He get his of cuddles from everyone, that why we all have colds again and a pian in the **** cough. But at least we can shake it alot faster.

Cant wait to catch up, been agers since we had a good chat, but both us us never seem to have much time with the kids and everything else we have to do as mums.

Hugs and have a great weekend

Re: Back from the doc's

Hi Cazza,

l was suprised when he stopped crying so fast and started to laugh, the nurse thought he was so cheeky and active to have just had 2 injections. His Broncititis is clearing, he mstly coughs more of a night....but it dont stop him from having his sleep.

Re: Back from the doc's

Hi Cath,

l thought he was really brave for a little baby....not as bad as his older brother Mark asking if he could have a needle, when the nurse asked why he said because l like the pain. My jaw dropped he likes the pain , no wonder he is a tuffy.

No tears from me, just cuddles and getting him excitied and making him laugh. l feel for him as well, but l know its for the best he gets his needles and oral liquid to help pretect him.

Have a great night...Hugs Heather xxoo

Re: Back from the doc's

HI Danni,

Thank you, he should clear up in a few days the worst is over...yes dribble rash (he has it all over his face cos he chews his hands and then rubs the spilt everywhere). Dean was born with the milk pipples all over his body - to much hormones....usually babys only have them on there nose...but not him he had to be different. John when he was a baby had pimples the HCN said it was from him getting to hot. Needles aint that bad....remember there to help protect him and the crying does not last long. You will get use to it, remember you get to give the cuddles afterwards while he gives nasty looks at the nurse or doctor that gave them to him.

Have a great night

Re: Back from the doc's

Danni,

l dnt think Ashton will give you the nasty looks as you aint giving them to him....he will see a different person doing something it him.

Dean watched every move the nurse did, his eyes where going from side to side as she prepared everything.

As for the heat pimples they go once you find the right temp for him....dont worry to much about them   in a few more months he will hardly be wearing any clothes when summer hits.
