I just got done with the front yard and it started to rain. So inside and a day without rest. Debbie worked all day on a project that is due, and I watched Izzy inside all day long. Not a minute of rest and she hated being inside. She loves to be outside playing with Kimmie and Aubrey, our neighbors daughters.

I arrived at church at 7:00 AM and made sure that the presentation was going to go off without a problem. Of course some last minute additions had to be made and that drives me crazy. I survived both services and Sabbath school. I finally got out at 1:00 PM but our Pastor Chris asked if I would come back at 4:00 PM so that I could run a DVD for a small group that was meeting. Overall my day was shot and not much fun. This weekend isn't going to be relaxing or enjoyable. Sometimes I like to go to work to relax. Debbie was working all weekend and I was watching Izzy. I wasn't really happy.

Tonight I had to go to church to prepare the MediaShout presentation for Sabbath service. It's always a miserable experience for me. Just some monkey work with the computer and confusing plans that are always so last minute. Maybe it's just that I like things very organized and this is always far from planned in advance, but we seem to pull it of every weekend. I was at the church from 6:00 PM till 10:00 PM. No fun for me on Friday night.

Tonight we went to Britty's Parent-Teacher conferences. I wasn't worried, she always does well and I'm proud of her. She's really taken ownership of her education and that's important. Nothing bad to report just great grades and comments from her teachers. Then some shopping at Super Walmart, a place that I generally despise but it does have great prices. It's just so huge and impersonal. I like our local Stater Brothers much better, but we had to get a new Baby Monitor. The other one was dead at home. We picked up some groceries and an outfit for Izzy.

Tonight's meeting was ladies night. Once a month we invite all our wives to attend the meeting. I was Stag, Debbie had to watch Izzy. It wasn't a bad dinner and we had some new members inducted.

It's Easter Sunday and maybe that will be a bigger day for Easter. Britty and Debbie aren't SDA and Debbie's parents and sister are coming over for a BBQ. I am going to BBQ a Santa Maria Tri-Tip, heat up Flour and Corn Tortillas, Refried Beans, TexMex Rice, Salad and Sweet Corn Cake. Hopefully a nice Lunch BBQ for everyone and fairly easy to prepare. It's amazing Dianna and Marty don't really seem to be very interested in Izzy much. They just sit and read the paper. I thought that they would be at least some what interested in her. Oh well I sure am, she's my baby. It has been a disaster of a day. I don't think I'll be doing that again for them anytime soon. It bothers me that they don't seem too interested in Izzy.

My sister, Kim and her family are down visiting her husband, Dave's family and us. They are going to be down for just a few days. Today they came over and watched Britty pitch a softball game. Then we went out for dinner. Sometimes I really miss my family, but it's been so long that they've all moved away, that it's just normal to me. I don't like Southern California any more either. I don't blame them for moving. It was nice to see them, even just for a night.

Today we are going to our Easter Sabbath Church service, Izzy has a pretty little dress with matching shoes and socks. She looks adorable. I didn't seem to get much from the service. I was too distracted with things. I came home and started on my yard work so that it would be ready for the Easter Egg hunt and BBQ on Sunday. Debbie, Britty and Izzy went to get Easter pictures done at JC Pennies in Redlands. While doing my yard work I found a nail in my front passenger side tire in the truck. Off to Super Walmart to get it repaired and a two hour wait. I really don't like Walmart, but it was the only store open. Pizza for dinner and off to sleep. Not a real special day in my book. It was kind of a let down. I thought Debbie and Britty would be excited about our first Easter with Izzy. It didn't seem like anyone cared much.

It's just so fun to play outside with Izzy all day long. She wants nothing todo with sitting inside playing with her toys. It's all about playing with her ball or Aubrey, the neighbor girl.

Today we signed all the final papers for Izzy's adoption. Now we have to wait for a court date to be set and that should be in about two months. So that means she'll be ours completely. I signed to have a new birth certificate made in Sacramento by the state and all of the papers we signed today had her name as, Isabel Marie Carignan. It's seems like it has taken forever to get this far. I love her so much. I sometimes stand by the crib at night and look at her. She's so amazing it makes me cry to think that she's my baby.

There is cheap Chinese and expensive Chinese. This is expensive Chinese food. It's not any better then the take-out down the street at the local strip mall. Nice place and good service, but not worth the price. We had lunch there right after signing all the adoption forms.

Izzy and I came home yesterday from our vacation to see my family in Humboldt County in Northern California. Sorry for the lack of postings but I only had my Blackberry. It's nice to be home and I got up on some chores around the house today.
